+1 for skinsosoft, also tried sprays with NEEM Oil in them and it seemed to work well.

Stay away from DEET, it works but kills your braincells at the same time.

+1 on the antihistamines too. I take Zirtek for my hayfever and it greatly reduces the reaction to the bites when you do get bitten.

Anyone tried Zermatt? i have been there for the snowboarding which is awesome, but heard its really good for biking?

Fire XC Pro all the way. Considerably lighter than 600g and great in all but the very muddiest conditions – when you’ll need Trailrakers anyway!

How are they considerably lighter than 600g? I got a red pair and mine come in at 616g each.

Dont think there is any legal requirement for a communal fire alarm system unless the building is over 18 or 20m high. if there is some form of smoke ventilation (BRE shaft or actuated windows) then this will need to be controlled by smoke detectors on each communal lobby.

Each flat only requires a standard domestic type smoke detector (mains operated with battery backup).

emergency lighting and signage will be required to the escape stair/route to provide minimum 1 lux.

Happened to me too. I was after a pair of Fulcrum Red metal Zero wheels and Chain reaction had them at a decent price in their sale. I was just waiting until I had sold some stuff on fleabay to pay for them to find that when I went to order they had gone up by £200.
