    [Hijack On]

How do you find the steering on the XTC's, is it steer with your eyebrows quick or fairly easy going for whats essentially a hardcore race hardtail ?

    [Hijack Off]

I dont really understand the question! The steering is fine, a lot more agile since I fitted the new wheels and tyres, was thinking about trimming the handlebars down a bit to make it a bit more responsive.

Looks like our money has gone, (£380). The missus booked on her debit card to avoid the credit card charges. I had hoped that is was a VISA debit card as we may have been covered, but it was maestro.

Because with some frames if you go big/big you rip the mech in half…

As long as you've sized your chain properly this wont happen.

I have a red one for commuting and I really like it, I do commute on the road bike though and find it does ruffle up a bit in front of you. seems pretty waterproof and has good pit vents.

The are bloody reflective though and you will look like TRON when the headlights hit you. (not me in the picture):

PS dont bother buying the optional hood, its a waste of time.

Selle San Marco Aspide 170g, thinking of swapping for a selle Gel XC as it is a bit sharp and the xc is only 5g heavier.

well I am all booked for my stag in February, hopefully the weather will be OK, could be bloody freezin in that roundhouse though?

How long does it take to get round the red at Mabie, 17km isnt it? We will have a mix of non bikers and experienced, is the green/blue advisable as an initiation for the novices, or will they be ok on the red?
