I just got mine done on my A3, cost £280 (independent). I saw the old belt, looked like new, only changed it as Audi called me and said it needed doing, they wanted to charge £350.

I have beens tung before with a timing belt though (destroyed engine) so didnt want to take the risk!!

Have started looking into this for fitting later this year, and a couple of names seem to keep comeing up in reviews, Clearview and Morso, anyone have any experience of these two? What do people recommend?

We have a morso 6140 and love it, this one, but built into a fire place.

the day and time the auction ends is important too. I learnt that after setting an auction to end at 8:30 on Saturday night when the final of X-factor was on, DOH!!!

we got a wood buring stove installed late last year, didnt put the central heating on until mid december, its back off again now.

Just got our gas bill for the last quarter, they OWE us £160, we probably spent that on wood though, but am safely smug in the fact that I am doing my bit for the environment, apart from importing the stove from Sweden that is. :D

yep, I got a new saddle from them a few weeks ago. they were fine

PS try the discount code XMAS on line for 10% off, it worked for me way after christmas, and I am not sure it should have done.

also PBK10 used to work too, but probably expired by now.

God I got bored half way down the 1st page of this and skipped the rest ( by flicking upwards with my finger). What a waste of energy and time.

If you don't like iPhones don't get one and move on. Why bother trying to get support from people on here to justify your views?

I love mine, end of story.

I'm liking the look of the 'new' Lake MX140… haven't pulled the trigger on a pair yet, but they look good

I just read a few reviews and they sound technically good and waterproof, but IMO, they are FUGLY!!!!, Not that looks are the deciding factor though!!! :-)

Ive got the road versions of the sidi diablo, think they are called SIDI hydro.

I am a 42 in specialized, and no problems of squashed toes. Ive got the 42 sidis and they do squash my toes a bit, wish I had gone up a size.

I do love the road versions, but for the MTB I am actually looking at the shimano MW80 instead. The spesh BG defroster doesn't get good reviews on here either

Trekster (or anyone else that knows)

All sounds good, just wondering what these other places are "Everywhere else you will need to book at least 2wks ahead"? They must be decent if you need to book that far in advance.

Are any of them any good? I assume they are more posh-nosh?

Perhaps i shouldnt be too bothered, god knows what i will be wearing, they probably wont let me in in a mankini will they?

Thanks trekster, yes we are staying at Marthrown. Its for my stag on 19th – 21st Feb.

There are 10 of us needing rentals and I have emailed them asking if I should reserve.

Think we are just going to chill at Marthrown on the Friday night, and brave Dumfries on the saturday evening. Any recommendations of where 10 lads can get some decent food, then on for some beers without any agro?

I am guessing if we want to head to any of the "fine" clubs I have been reading about, we will probably have to split up or not look like we are on a stag do at least?

Probably way out of your price range, but you wouldnt go at all wrong with this jacket. My missus is considering the pink/grey one:
