Jaime Alguersuari for Sauber? Or what about the Caterham drivers? Petrov has cash (I think) and Kovalainen has experience of the bigger teams.

£220 fine and a four match ban

lol £220! I bet he earns more than that in the time it takes to write a cheque… Where’s the consistency? Suarez got an 8 match ban…

Edit: I see your edit, £220k makes more sense

If i remember correctly, Trek do state a weight limit for their bikes, but it’s pretty high (around 20 stone)

Was GF part of Trek in 2004/5?

I seem to remember reading it was 75-80kg. I could well be wrong though…

Edit: that’s only 12.5 stone (about what I weigh), that can’t be right, can it?

I’ve got a very well ridden one in good nick too. Rich, I don’t mean to be rude but, how much do you weigh?
Good luck with Trek, fingers crossed.

…and endanger other people as you please? Well done. I don’t GAS where you ride to endanger yourself, but can’t you see that you’d potentially be putting other people in jeopardy?

More dangerous than cheeky imo. In some places it’s very steep, narrow, huge cliff-top drops to ground level. It could be a disaster waiting to happen if you meet someone unexpectedly, on this footpath. Ride somewhere else, please.

Something in me instinctively rebels against the idea that heightened emotion should depend upon artificial ingredients

Do you disagree with the use of anti-depressants?

I always thought that MDMA could actually cause depression as it can lead to a reduced serotonin (sp) level (one of the causes of depression).

MDMA causes increased serotonin and dopamine release which raises mood. The knock-on effect of this is that subsequently the brain experiences a shortfall in serotonin and dopamine levels in the brain (it’s all been released)
I guess the medical application (for PTSD and depression) would look to lessen the shortfall (and the perceived high) through dosage.

I got mine with brown transition lenses. They go 95% clear and darken to a max of 20% (I think). Absolutely fantastic for riding in, you can get ones that go darker, but then they don’t go as clear. People have said that I look a bit ‘special’ if I wear them indoors, but hey, I am special 😀
Definitely would recommend them over RX inserts, that I found heavy and lacking in peripheral vision.

As said above though, safety standards may be an issue for you.

If you don’t want to wear 2 pairs of lenses at the same time, I got my Oakleys from here – cheapest I could find with Oakley lenses. Another £90 though, would work stretch to that?

    5s with Oakley prescription lenses

Those Julbos look nice, but no prescription lens option that I can see? Just RX inserts. OK if you’re after inserts I guess.

Have you tried a pair of the Oakleys on, to see what sort of coverage they give you? I think most Vision Express stores do Oakley, might be worth trying to throw a pair on…

Edit: Think those 5s you linked to are RX inserts too? Is weight an issue for you? Personally I think it’s worth paying a little extra for prescription lenses.

Like I said, I don’t know where to start, it’s an enormous problem. I can, however, recognise that fear mongering is not the answer. This is just a tool to reinforce prohibition, which also doesn’t work. It just fills up prisons, at vast public expense, by making criminals out of people who needn’t be.

‘Educational’ ads, like those posted by crikey, demonise drug use and drug users. This isn’t informative. In order to learn, people need to see reality, with context. If possible in situations that they can really relate to, not “I did it once because someone told me to – now I’m a murderer/robber/rapist/rapevictim/prostitute/thief/dropout* addict”

Back to the OP and to reiterate what sweepy said

Theres kids all over the internet doing backflips of buildings with, and without crack. And most of em dont even get a dollar.
The guy in the first clip did a pretty good flip if you ask me.

How is losing balance when drunk comparable to fighting when drunk? Or to criminal behaviour in pursuit of/whilst on a substance? That’s just ridiculous.

& where does the education start exactly?

Tricky one. I’m not sure. Is that ok?

I didn’t say that, just that there are always other issues.
Edit – drugs are bad mmkay but education is the answer, not demonization.

Crack doesn’t make you jump off buildings for $1, the same as heroin doesn’t make you steal and crystal meth doesn’t make you a robber/rape victim/prostitute etc. Believing that drugs make you do things that you wouldn’t otherwise do is believing that you are weak. Do you get into a fight every time you have a few drinks? No, nobbers do…
