Another thanks from me, had a really good time despite buggering my mech hanger – at least it was near the cafe/shop stop so I could get it fixed (thanks to the chap for fitting it and letting me get back on the trails after) Also, big thanks for the push-back I got from a couple of guys (sorry, forgot who it was that pushed me – beer’s on me next time!)

My GPS recorded 19 miles for those of us that hung around the ‘downhill’ area towards the end.

Definitely up for a summer ride and barbeque! :D

Some new SLX chain rings for me and a new LX shifter to replace the one I broke at Penmachno couple of weeks back. Happy days.

Also worth noting that accidents are only recorded if they occur on public highway – so any accidents on private roads or many off-road cycle paths won’t be recorded.

    Handy information though

We will be expecting a goody bag at the end of the ride too as a nice memento of the day :D

£129 plus £89 if Mojo fitted them, so £218 altogether. Alternatively, you buy and fit yourself for £149.

I emailed Mojo last week with the same question, this is the response I had:

Yes you can fit the QR15 lowers onto your forks. The lowers are £149 if you want to fit them yourself and this includes the lowers, axle, seals and decals.

We can also fit them for £129 and that’s on top of a £89 service charge.

    :-)

    (Didn’t ask about colours though)

A few of us did a two-dayer last weekend, (coming from the East Mids) we did Llandegla on Saturday then carried on and stayed overnight in Betws-Y-Coed before doing Penmachno on Sunday. Was a top weekend’s riding for all I think :-)

swadey – I won’t name names (as such) but they’re commonly known locally by way of a similar sounding name involving the word ‘Scam’

Thanks again coatsey – just emailed via Trek’s website so hopefully will hear back soon. If not, I’ll give you a shout!

Timraven – Where did you get the QR15 lowers from or fitted, and how much? I read in a bike mag a while back that Mojo where going to provide this but not seen anything advertised anywhere.

Oh yeah, and to stay on topic…I’ve had a Fuel EX8 for nearly a year now and rate it highly ;-)

I’m slowly getting used the new size wings front and back…I think the cars look better in may ways as a result of getting rid of all those hideous winglets stuck on all over the place – the cars look much cleaner now.

Not sure about the pillows but I bought some Fox fork oil and Float Fluid from my nearest Leisure Lakes couple weeks ago.

Talking of pronouncing stuff, what about “Thule”, bike rack people?

When I phoned up the customer service phone line recently, the lovely sounding lady on the answer machine pronounced it “Too-lay”…made me feel a bit of tool for calling it “Thewl” :?
