I think pretty much all the Cornwall ones are skills loops within school grounds, for physical activity during and after the school day, so no public access.

Really like Rouvy. Real life routes and scenery is much more appealing for me than the gamification of Zwift. I’m not bothered about racing. Rouvy has it but probably no where near the participation that Zwift has. Also has training plans to follow, which I’ve found to be decent.

The guy on the right is Andre the Giant. Aside from the obvious, he was famous for a heroic appetite for alcohol and equally heroic flatulence.

And the guy on the left is basketball legend Wilt Chamberlain. An insanely gifted athelete and by all (his) accounts, very prolific lover.

Poldice for DH and getting ‘sendy’, also Woody’s Bike Park.

Lanhydrock for beginner and easy flow trails. Cardinham for an average trail centre lap.

Also other smaller bike parks like Old Hill and Chasewood for jumps or Bikepark Kernow for short, rooty trails.

As for the Penwith area, You can do a nice XC loop up onto the moors, look up the West Kernow Way for a route idea. There some fun chunky descents of the hills in that area also but some are lost to bracken this time of the year.

Another vote for handguards. Absolutely the most practical thing. Got mine for this reason! Don’t care what my riding buddies think (they don’t really care tbh) and anyway, you can feel smug at the end of a ride when you’re all thorn-free and they’re not!

How far down the fix list is the paid-members-seeing-ads issue please?

Are we supposed to see adverts if we’re paying for a subscription? Is it a setting.

I’ve been getting this for a couple of weeks as well. Emailed Mark about it a week ago and he said he’d look into it, so I presume it’s on the list ?‍♂️

I’ve just built up a UK Jeht within the last few weeks. Bought the frame to replace my 2019 Orbea Rallon frame so transferred everything across.

Have done a few rides on it and so far, really enjoying it. Unfortunately I’m recovering from a wrist fracture so haven’t been able to push it but rides very nicely.

Comes in at 34.6lbs (C2 size) with Fox 36, Cane Creek DB Air IL, Hunt Trailwide and Continental Enduro Kryptotals…a shade lighter than what my carbon Rallon was (although that had a coil shock).

Edit: photo upload doesn’t seem to work for me so Insta pic below

Literally the worst place on earth, hardly any staff in restaurants.  I could go on for ages.

Please, do go on. I’m genuinely interested to hear how it’s literally the worst place on the planet?!

Fox also do a pair. A bit cheaper but still pricey

It’s a bit crazy that only after these guinea pig runs, they’ve then seemingly thought it’s a good idea to put catch netting up!

    Yeah, good shout @infernocup.

In the meantime, anyone got a Jeht G2 they want to show off??

Any feedback on the Cane Creek DB IL vs the R/S and Fox shocks? Quite like the idea of the 4 way tuning of the CC (and it’s cheaper) but then again, also like the ‘simpler’ RS.

The CC would be good for my local riding, but I’m off for a week to Aosta Valley and Morzine in Sept and wondering IF I got a frame, would the shock handle all day descending ok?

Continental Xynotal enduro. Got one on my hardtail for local Cornish granite chunk and road connections in between. Rolls well, grips nicely and is tough enough so far 👌🏼

If anyone’s after a large 29er (or medium 27.5) enduro bike, Paul’s Cycles have the top of the range 2023 Rocky Mountain Altitude at £4.5k down from £12.5k

Ive been on the ‘brand ambassador’ Roots setup for a few years and there’s been no comms from them for a long time – no head’s up on new kit, no responses on the private group about are they still operating etc. Hasn’t looked positive since Covid really.

The Rad8 507 is really good. Vented lenses and sit a bit further away from the face than their other models.

I’ve been using Rad8’s since the beginning and the latest 507 design is the best so far with regards to not fogging up. A couple of years of use in mild and damp Cornish winters (and summers :-/ ) and I really haven’t had an issue with them misting up.

Worth checking out Rad8 Cycling glasses. They do prescription photochromic glasses, though not in the wrap-around style – https://www.rad8.co.uk/store/c16/Prescription_Lens_CYCLING_Glasses.html

Worth giving them a call/email to see if they can match your lense needs.

Shame there isn’t a trail / soft Kryptotal front as I’d run that.

Looks like they may finally be imminent…

I’m more surprised at the 65 degree HA being singled out as being too steep to ride it downhill with any joy 🤔

Surely there’s a combo of HA/reach/stack going on there that’s an issue for the reviewer?

I run 700x38c Panaracer Gravelking SK with SKS Speedrocker mudguards. Plenty of room…should fit a 40c tyre in without a problem.

Finished building my Marley 29 last night.

Not the best photo but it won’t be this clean again, probably ever 😄

Was pretty ferocious here in Cornwall around 4.30am this morning. A lot of trees down blocking roads in my local area.

Took a punt on a Ragley frame on Tuesday. CRC dispatch email went out on Wednesday saying Friday delivery. Looking at the ParcelForce tracking info, it was only tracked as being sorted at the National Hub this morning.

Hopefully the next update is that it reaches my nearest delivery depot and not Chiggle’s, (suggesting it’s been requested back)! 😬

Ah @mac89, i liked your post on Insta last night after searching for Marley pics (kernduro)!

Your build looks awesome btw. It’s also helping to sway me towards getting one 😁

Does anyone fancy posting up pics of their yellow Marley 29 frame or build?

I’m still tempted to grab one but I need some more visuals to sway me! 👀

Ah fgs, been tempted by the Marley 290 at £270 for the last week, especially as I had some CRC vouchers for my birthday last weekend. Used them up this avo on some other bits on offer instead, without realising those frames had dropped further to crazy ridiculous prices! 😩

Had one on my (Invisiframed) Rallon for the last 4 years. It’s got what looks like bullet impact damage, from a rock that flew up one time, but the frame itself below is untouched.

I’d reiterate the comments above about grit getting underneath it, so you want to make sure you’re frame’s protected with tape down there if you want to prevent scratches, but yeah, worth it IMHO.

“I also noticed from Facebook that one of the beginner/mini Enduro series cancelled an upcoming race due to lack of entrants, where as our local Winter DH series (with no uplift)  has over 100 entrants to the first race.”

I think the mini enduro that recently got cancelled, was a mid-week daytime race. Everyone’s backs at work/school, so was always going to be a tough sell.

“Any trivia experts here? Alpha Tauri have 4 drivers listed in the WDC – Tsunoda, DeVries, Ricciardo and Lawson – when was the last time a team got through so many drivers in a season?”

Looks like it was HRT Cosworth in 2010 (Chandhok, Senna, Yamamoto & Klien).

I noticed whilst window shopping on the Canyon bikes site last night, that they do some decent looking (and subtle branding) riding gear now (gravel, MTB and road).

They’ve got a sale on right now too. These gravel shorts are £30, reduced from £82, if you’re a small or medium.

Handguard convert here! Yep, in general, they are waayyyy overpriced, but for me, they do exactly the job I wanted them to do and were worth the (slightly reduced in a sale) price I got my Sendhit guards for.  And that’s all that matters.

I’ve got the Argos version of Hydroshot. Battery powered and lasts 2-4 bike washes, good power and easily portable. Price drops below £100 every now and again so worth keeping an eye on the price.

Not really…that’s more of a short travel enduro bike than a light XC bike that the OP is after. It is pretty sweet though and a great price at the moment!
