Old water bottle, white spirit, give it a shake and let it soak.
Rinse with a blob of fairy liquid and then rinse with water.
Save the white spirit in a jam jar, next time you need to use it all the dirt will have settled to the bottom…

    Reusable…

    Repeat…

Dovebikers got a point, maybe ask to see the risk assessments for disabled users eg wheelchairs.
Then ask why bikes are different.

I’ve used CT1 at work and never thought about using it for shoe repair. Reckon it would be worth trying as it can be used on wet surfaces and is quite a bit more ‘hard wearing’ than normal silicone.

I’ve seen restoration projects on youtube where the bloke puts threaded bar through a jam jar lid, fills jar with sand and the part that needs patina removing. Attaches jar to a cordless drill zip ties the trigger( low speed) and then leaves it running.
    Might work with anodising.

Did grizedale enduro tracks last weekend and it was fine. Stopped for a breather on coniston and the north shore looked like a carnival had hit it.

I mean the traditional mount on the outside of the for, not the crown.

Would be happy to pay extra for 2x cage Mounts on the fork and will bet others would to.

I’ll be hovering over ‘the button’ as I can see this happening… eventually… until that day, this version unfortunately doesnt make my bike for life tick list like my solarismax did.

Was initially keen but no mudguard/cage mounts on the fork is a mistake on such a bike.
Can get away with one Mount and a zip tie to secure a gorilla cage on my old frame and the new mudhugger gravel is good but think this needs Considering for the Second batch.
I know your active on here cy, info would be welcomed before I ‘press the button’

    ‘Tongue’ biting ?

I remember this thread from a while back. Glad to hear your getting on better.
And respect for talking about something so personal, I’m sure it will help others to see the journey you are making back to living life.

    It seems simple to me.
barcode on packaging Automatically linked to the bank account of the purchasers contactless payment.

Council worker/litter picker scans item and a small fine is taken directly from the bank account.

“I didn’t drop it, it was my mate” tough shit.

“I’ve gone over drawn because of the fine” tough shit.

“I can’t afford to pay the fine” tough shit…

    And so on.

    My go to.
Peanut butter and honey on a decent whole meal toast.
    Greek yog and granola.

Or when no one is looking,
    3 egg omelette with olives

Or when the Mrs is out of town,
FULL tin of spam sliced THICK banged in the microwave on white bread with a mixed condiment of mustard ketchup AND brown sauce,,,

Go on, you know you want it.

Speakers pointed at neighbours bedroom, bass heavy tune, full blast approx 5am. go out for a walk, bit of shopping then a pub lunch.

If possible, Play with the volume,,,,,,, up,,,,,, then down,,,, then up etc for max effect.
Await complaint or maybe a bit of volume war retaliation, it won’t last.
In the end you will win 👊😎

    WTF, Nobodies challenged this.

I have a litter tray in the conservatory next to the cat flap, it gets used but I suspect that Sid (vicious) might have the occasional
    Chod outside. I apologise.
Sid (vicious) is timid beyond belief, never killed anything, sht scared of his own shadow.

Putting chilli on your lawn will result in the local cat to attempt to scratching his own eyes out through the pain you have inflicted on it, hopefully the old lady down the street has got insurance to cover the vets bill.
AND, when you set JACK ( you have mentioned this before ) on the local cat, I hope you take into consideration that this cat may be loved and the only companion by the old lady down the street has and imagine how she is going to explain to grandchildren how kitty ‘has gone to heaven’

    You fkinprick.

I do not like dogs, been bit to many times when riding and have skin grafts on my hand and leg, been covered in Shiite after a ride to many times.

locals dogs shat all over the local nature reserve with the owners consent. HEALTH NUSIENCE
Local dogs bark on repeat, NOISE NUSIENCE
Have witnessed owners thinking it’s OK for the dog to terrorise local swans, ground nesting birds, lambs etc, WILDLIFE NUISANCE.
my lad, 4 yrs old has been bitten twice by different dogs, dogs are a Social problem that only a non dog owner would understand,,,,,l do not like your filth scavanger licking me or sniffing my groin.

It’s the owners fault and all that BS 🙄

Grand scheme of things, dogs are a bigger problem than cats.

I lost a new crushwasher whilst servicing some boxxers the night before an uplift day.

Had no replacement available so I used a bit of plastic milk bottle cut to size and it worked fine, no sign of leaks so i just carried on with that method.

And don’t paint it vigorously in light wind as you may get a fine paint mist on the neighbours car 😬.

A black bin bag on the floor near his car made a good indicator to stop that happening again.

Swapped for GRX and now I am at peace.

    I can see some logic,
EG small frame bag up front with bottle cage lower in the frame or large custom frame bag lower in the frame with bottle cage up front.

It giving an option to max the utility of a versatile frame.

Thought WTF when I saw new frame pics with all those ugly bosses.

Just looked at mine and with the custom restrap Cotic frame bag and a bottle cage installed I reckon you would only be able to see 2X exposed bosses.

Love the orange, it’s very similar to my 2016 Raleigh mustang Gbike colour way, do Cotic offer a respray service like orange 🤔

If Cotic sent a survey out to lurkers and loyal customers asking for a vote on a limited number of RAL every year I think they would be on to a winner.

Also selling ‘retro’ graphic/head tube badge Options would pull a few quid in, old gits like me don’t like change 😁

Lay the light and the lanyard on a flat surface in a cross shape and pull the long thick bit through the thin bit, it won’t be tight as a knot but works.

You may be able to look at the cord zip pulls on your shorts or jacket to get an idea.

I’ve added a small zip tie to mine for added security.

I had a similar problem, turns out it was this.

    https://forums.mtbr.com/tooltime/possible-broken-cable-head-holder-inside-sti-shifter-pictures-added-1106879.html.

It was the final straw for me, got rid and bought a Shimano group.

Arktis stowaway £40 , built in stuff sack, hi-vis yellow or several different camo’s.

Pretty tough rip stop so good for mtb.

It has a hood but I have found it useful as it easily fits under a helmet and keeps icey wind off the head/ears.

I had a similar problem with my old sram Rival group.

I had to rotate the wheel until the small indents in the 160mm disc allowed me to remove it, took a fair bit of head scratching to work that out when bike was new.

Replaced it recently with full GRX, problem has disappeared.

Size isn’t everything, it’s how you use it.

    My experience is,

    Sram is overpriced tat.

    Shimano is under appreciated quality

Went on a wild camp with a vegan once, I felt smug whilst I jokingly renamed their meat substitute ‘FACON’

Ate my words when we ran out of food, it was bit like extremely salty cardboard tho.

    We survived.
