I sent a jackhammer over my big toe and second toe years ago, had to cut my boot of due to the swelling, never went H.
They are both a bit shorter but never caused me any probs.

I bought a Marks and Spencers ‘fine knit’ merino jumper from a charity shop a few years ago for 3/4 quid. Not cycling specific but though it might work.

Have used it every winter since 😁👍

Kennedy’s my fave USA punk band, the words jello preached (trump) seem more relevant now than they did back then.

    Massive punk fan,
Still occasionally listen to Sex pistols but prefer the ‘true’ English punk bands out there (subhumans, restarts, FOPI,spits etc)
As for CRASS being terrible music, well each to there own. Few ‘arty’ songs by eve libertine are not on my favourites play list.
Massive respect for CRASS tho as they still live by the punk ideals (you tube vid of some of the band members still living the life they preach, off grid, making money selling art etc)
not copy righting the logo allowing tshirt businesses make some coin.
Steve ignorant was a excellent front man,
“Ever get the feeling you’ve been cheated”… yes, yes I do , JR was a revelation when I was an angry 16 year old. As I got more into the punk scene it was obvious the pistols was a manufactured boy band (entertaining yes)
Selling butter, ok every body needs make a living…
A recent vid of him endorsing trump was the final nail in the coffin.

Fearing price hikes and availability after brexit I have been systematically replacing all my the expensive bits on both my bikes after buying a new mtb frame end of 2018.
Cotic have recently accepted my Cyclescheme voucher for an escapade frame from the January drop.

I will then have 2x steel framed ‘allrounder’ type bikes with some high rated spec that should last me a good few years.

I see this as a positive step forward, KS has put a statement out.
Whataboutismists can now point a finger at The Tory denial of anti Muslimisumz

Recently bought a thread measurement tool off AliExpress for few quid.
Good addition to the tool kit👍
I Should now be able to negate the MTB premium that the companies put on theses items.

SRAM rival brakes and drive train, I have never had as many frequent problems… and people rave about the Overpriced tat.

Thankfully now replaced with proper Shimano stuff.

Non bike specific water bottles that look like they will keep the winter/dog crap off the squirty bit.
They either don’t fit a cage or just allow the crap into the bits you can’t wipe with your sleeve.

Decathlon do a version I kinda like but they aren’t built to last.

How hard can it be to make one that is fit for purpose😡

Lost some padding on a fox flux and needed a temp fix.

Already had some previously bought sticky Velcro off eBay as I use it for chain stays/cable rub patches.
Stuck some small bits of the fluffy side onto the helmet.
Stuck a strip of fluffy and spikey together/back to back.
    Cut it to approx size.
    Stick it in place.

Could be removed and put in baggy shorts pocket when doing a wash.

I used it for about 18 mnths 😕

Kenda hellcat really impressed me when I got it start of spring

Huge levels of grip on mixed terrains. Rolls pretty well and decent weight for a ‘true’ 2.6. (2.4s are available)

Looking forward to using it again in some proper winter conditions.

Ran a 2.6 hellcat ATC I got off eBay for £12 briefly on the front last winter. Grip is insane, wear is better than MM it replaced, rolling resistance is similar.
Not sure if it’s a true 2.6 but it looks massive and leaves little room under a mudhugger.
Keep looking on eBay for a cheap nevegal 2 to match it for this winter, very underrated tyre in my experience.

Funny how their was a flurry of “Ive tested positive” statements from the powers that be, then nothing. It’s almost as if they don’t want the electorate to see them as weak🙄🙄.

I only see this as a positive.

    Rivington/ horwich, Wigan/haigh hall.

Both got LOADS of potential. When will councils realise that if you want outside visitors to spend money in your town and if you want to avoid bike/hiker conflict,,, Just build a few proper tracks FFS.

9×3 I used to run drive trains into the ground and then just replace the lot, this was when a decent Shimano/sram cassette was £30 on eBay.

These days I have a AliExpress 99p chain checker to help avoid spending silly money on replacing full drive for the cost of a chain.

New GRX group on the gravel bike as my first experience of a modern sram drive train was SHYTE and got rid as soon as funds permitted.
However, From experience a Sram PG1130 Cassette is my go to as it just outlasts it’s cost, you obvs need a compatible free hub.

Usually change it at .75, no problems.

I don’t tend to ride in anything heavier than drizzle.
My go to kit for winter is Sealskins socks, 3/4 tights under hummvees , merino jersey under endura windchill jacket and optional helikon water resistant windshirt as an outer layer.
Decathlon winter cycling gloves and any old buff/snood for a £1 off eBay.
Maybe a cheap poncho in my framebag if weather looks unpredictable and I need to find shelter until it passes.

Not bothered about washing kit every time I’ve used them, smelling or being muddy.

Take the brake off the bike and hang it from a hook (lever at the top😁).
Run an electric toothbrush over the full assembly to vibrate any bubbles out of any nooks n crannies.
Top the lever up with few drops of fluid in the morning.
    Job done.

    Quick fix ?

I lost my hope spacer whilst waiting for a wheel build and ended up using a couple of Thin BB spacers of different widths (came to 4mm-ish I think)
That was about 9mnths ago with no issues so far.

Pro4 + full xt drive train.

Harshest steel frame I’ve ever owned, the 456 that followed it was like riding a cloud compared.
