I”ve been watching a couple on Pinkbike in that colour for ages now, cant quite justify it yet but it`s coming I think !
It`s unusual to see one with Fox forks as they mainly seem to be Rockshox. Is that much of an upgrade cost-wise ?

Just approaching 18 years in same role with ever diminishing staff levels but not workload, the remaining staff are broken by the drudgery of it all and I have my 3rd redundancy consultation on Friday, which I”m genuinely looking forward to.I have no job to step straight in to but am excited to be out of my comfort zone and try something new.Managing a satellite branch working 55 hours per week isnt something I will remember fondly TBH

I have a 2016 650b and its a great do it all bike for one with so much suspension travel.
What does surprise me is how comparitively cheap they are secondhand-£1500 for a 2016 model on Pinkbike, and many more only slightly more expensive on there

Definitely have a love/hate relationship with the Twrch climb.
I always find it a struggle but keep going back for more, and when you eventually get your peripheral vision back its a lovely scenic trail.
Only ever cleaned it once on a full-sus though.

I’ve been addicted to nasal sprays since I was 18 and have used them throughout the day every day for 25 years.
The only one that works for me these days is Sudafed nasal spray. I have about 4 bottles of it on the go right now. Bloody shame as I go through two bottles a week and its the most bloody expensive!!!

I had a similar problem. I ended it by taking pseudoephedrine (sudafed tablets) for a couple of weeks which resulted in my sinuses not needing the nasal spray to breath. Obviously you’re only supposed to take them for a few days continuously but I thought it was worth the risk. Not saying you should do the same, but it worked for me. Good luck, I know what a bitch it is.
I was exactly the same for years, totally reliant upon decongestants and costing me a small fortune.Managed to get my GP to prescribe Fluticasone, took it over a few weeks and it`s completely cured my problem.Havent used a decongestant in the last year since.

Just bought the Rab Torque stretch softshell and first impressions are great.
I know it wont be completely waterproof but its ideal for what I need it for

Almost always option 2 for me,only a few average trails locally so generally have to travel to muster any enthusiasm.
    Do it most weekends though

We were there on Friday 11th and it was brilliant.
Minimal wait for the uplift and a really quick turnaround, think we managed 12 or so descents including quite a few ride-ups from Terry`s belly and the Blue that ends behind the Cafe.
Gonna book again for December asap

I get the fear going back after a piss

Honestly made me laugh out loud.
I can empathise though,I regularly take client calls whilst sat on the throne, very surreal at times …

Just bought a 2016 Enduro as my first 650b bike and I”m pleasantly surprised and also slightly underwhelmed at the same time.Underwhelmed at how little difference the larger wheelsize makes, pleasantly surprised at how light it is for a 165 full-sus bike.Took it to Cwmcarn yesterday and it climbed well and was a joy on the downhill sections.Thought I”d hate the guide brakes but theyre impressive TBH.Large is perfect for me with a v short stem, I”m 6ft exactly.
I see me keeping it for the forseeable future

Currently on Pikes after years of Fox forks, and am a little surprised at the lack of adjustment including lockout after years of CTD

The scenery on the new Danny MacAskill video posted yesterday reminded me a lot of the Gap route, give or take a few scenic train Station platforms.
It”s a great ride and pretty easy to follow too

My fitness level is fuelled and therefore dictated by how angry I am unfortunately.
It`s pretty damned good at the moment,so watch this space for the inevitable stroke (hopefully somewhere scenic rather than sat at my desk)

I would definitely go down the 27.5 route, already plenty of bargains around in that wheel-size with the added bonus of being able to sell it on for a good price if you ever decide not to keep it.
I managed to eventually sell both my 26`s for decent prices recently but it wasnt easy. For your budget you should be able to pick up a bike just a couple of years old in 27.5 wheel size

Thanks guys, predictably I gave in bought them.
Cue 4 long days now of wondering if I did the correct thing followed by a euphoric peak around about Tuesday, mood thereafter determined by how much my work colleagues mock once I`ve opened the box.
I”ll have the last laugh looking wicked-bad on the trails though, hopefully with dry warm feet,cat-piss TBC.

Yes definitely, same brand/different tyres here also.
TBH pictures of secondhand bikes with mis-matched branded tyres have been enough to put me off of enquiring any further about said bicycles.

currently 27.5º indoors but the laptop and a raid drive plus monitor are pushing that up, probably as hot as it is going to get indoors.

Just a shame it wasn`t 27.2,it may have made the room come alive 😀

I currently have a 2013 314 with 34s up front and its a great bike for pretty much everywhere that I ride, very light and nimble and i`d highly recommend it.
My 5 feels much heavier albeit a bit more sturdy in comparison

Well like most of us I just whistled to test my manliness, the tune sounded worryingly similar to the Bronski Beat classic Smalltown Boy though, not sure where that leaves me TBH.
Anyway gotta go,a load of tradesmen have just started frantically knocking on my back door …..

I”m a bit of a river fisherman so regularly see the usual indigenous wild animals, always makes my day to see a Kingfisher though,so pretty.
See Otters occasionally too, always a treat despite them decimating the fish stocks.
Had a wonderful 10 minutes of interacting with a couple of juvenile Mink last week, they were very inquisitive to the extent that I could have reached out and touched them-I didnt though,as theyre ferocious little swines !
