Go with the taper ones , both mine 10 years old and still going strong , one with a royce bb and the other on a phil wood one , both of which are as old as the cranks
been useing non ust tyres for the past year with a “joes no flats” kit seems to work just fine . But the lighter the tyre the more prone to splitting the side wall will be.
have 10 at the moment most get used at least once a month apart from my road bike and orange vit t , they can wait till the summer.
as for which one for which ride normaly just pick theone with the least wrong with it
had my 04 van 32s pushed ( by tf tuned ) the other year they added a boxxer seal on top of the standard fox part so the fork now has oil seal and wiper much better.
Been useing the traverse for just over a year and would recomend them to anyone . Ive not had any problems with the strips and only had to true them once ( this was after I split the front tyre and carried on with it flat).
Not sure i would bother with the light weight ones as these have been bomb proof and light enough.
