If you can cut a taper on the base it might work but I’d have my doubts. Does it have a removable core to help with inflation?

The profile on the middle ring of the M970 makes the shift amazing. However, I believe that profile can now be had on the 770 XT version.

I saw something similar with a Hope brake that had been crashed once. The brass washer that fits over the ball end of the push rod had been deformed. This allowed the push rod to retract further than it was meant to and gave the wobbly feeling you describe. I’m not overly familiar with the Avid stuff but it could be something similar I suppose.

I did twenty minutes yesterday to seal up the small leaks in a tubeless converstion. Does that count? If so, I’ll do the other one tonight and then I’m 100%!
