  • Peru vs Sheffield, Auzangate or Bikerdelic? Video Head To Head

Had it when I was young and can still remember the pain to this day (I counted 104 of those horrible things on my middle). Don't recollect having any drugs back then though – it was the usual GP thing of "take lots of rest". Hurt like a bandit for a couple of weeks then just went.

Grum – the best "still" I've seen is currently on the front page of http://www.ft.com

Sucking lemons steeped in vinegar comes to mind.

Let him stay – as above! However, I suspect the deranged right wing of the party will now try to unseat him and put in one of their own barking swivel-eyed maniacs; that should be good for a healthy loss of support if we have another election.

It was wonderful to see his face when he realised he wasn't going to do it…….

I like mine. Except when I get weird knocking noises from the front.

I view them as rather sinister (especially as they're wearing blue rosettes!). Refuse to tell them anything and got embroiled in a big argument last time as to whether we lived in a surveillance state like the old Iron Curtain.

I am going to try not to argue this time though!

Thnaks all. Will check pads and headset tonight and cross fingers….

It is a Mono Mini but not a floaty one

Thanks goldenwonder, I had a finger-check of caliper at the trailside and it seemed OK but I will re-check. I suspect it's not them as (I forgot to say) that over some bigger bumps on the way home I could feel a distinct and quite scary "clunk" without the brakes on.

Only just seen this. Recently discovered caxton FX, rates have been very good, no hidden charges and superb service.

It's the piece directly under the travel adjuster – in effect, the base of the U "handle".

    Thanks for the advice, gents

Excellent Cotswold ride with Mrs Ononeorange yesterday (included a section around Cleeve Common which was superb), came home today then out tomorrow with a pal and his mrs. I'm really enjoying mtb'ing with Mrs, she's a really good rider now.

Mine didn't work from when I bought so just wound down the windows – when I finally had someone check it out, it turns out the compressor is apparently missing! Had a quote for £1000+, so just continue to wind down the windows.

I'm amazed your FS's, 5's etc mentioned don't get nicked when you leave them.

It's not woodchip or Artex in that pic, is it?

RR's generally (sorry to generalise!) do seem to attract their fair share of "drivers" with low self-esteem trying to over-compensate for something.

    That's my 2p worth.

    28. As a few above, my wife was unsurprised.

I thought it is normal to see patterns in car registration plates? Struck me as an odd question.

"That might be the Cheshire Cat… But this is the Chesire Cheese. I wonder if they have a Cat?"

    They have celery.

Very happy with mine. Same comments as above although no ideas about the stickiness of the stickers.

Topics have a hazelnut in every bite (allegedly, although not yet proven with hard fact), a hazelnut is the perfect size for a cat to stand on and wave its magic celery, and hazelnuts may have been found in the Pyramids (perhaps), thereby proving the link between crown races and chocolate bars. On topic – fact! Probably.

I bought a set second hand and had them built up at Safari Bikes in Marlow. Seem fine.

But carrot cake is the King of Cakes, so it can do anything. I reckon it could give Steve Peat a run for its flour.

Do magic cats race with skin suits or baggies around their pyramids?

My missus has done a couple at Dales mtb in Reeth – she has got so much from them and she has really shifted up in riding skills. I did one with her a few weeks ago (Steep & Rocky) and realised I was descending completely wrongly – I also feel transformed.

As above, depends what you're after and whether you "click" with the instructor, I suppose – we both really got on well with Nicola at Dales.

I have it on extremely good lady-authority that the wee thing doesn't just affect us chaps.

And I also think rocket has a similar effect.

I would really love to do it but never seem to find the time. As above, would recommend seat61 for info, used it on other rail journeys and it's excellent.

If you do it, please post up on here (and make me even more envious)!

Do have a car but try not to use it much (mostly for biking things!). Got to the end of February this year before I actually went in it.

awelch – Same size as you (exactly) and I have a 21" P7 and a 20" Inbred. Inbred is probably the better fit.

All above are ace but for me the Soul has it.

You can tell if it's a magic cat not only from the spells but from the pyramids it builds in the garden out of celery. And the sounds of 2,000 year-old superheroes fighting. Or something. I bet Mackem's well pleased with the conclusions we've got to so far.

Give the disputed fiver to a mutually-acceptable charity. Everyone (should be)happy.
