Saw the original exhibition at Oxford Museum of NH. Absolutely stunning images and well worth a trip out of your way to see 1st hand.

Only ever used to go when it was a teacher in-service training day. Last time probably 8-9 years ago, using Tesco points to make it affordable. Sounds like it has degenerated further into an exercise in money grabbing exploitation. Still want that Porsche technic set tho’.

Jamba’, thanks for your comments & link. Will have a proper read later. Had to google etf, which I guess is part of the problem; the man in the streets lack of understanding of the options available, and how to source good financial advice to overcome this.

I’d also include Asics, surfer. Been wearing GT2000 series for 15-20 years!

57 and a half here, not that I’m counting down! Looking at 60, but alarmed at the number of former colleagues who seem to check out within a year or two of retiring.
DB, but currently giving a bit of thought re taking the pot (around £800k) out & putting it into some sort of investment/draw down vehicle. Others with experience of similar?
Putting together thoughts of what I’ll be doing post 60 to keep me active and interested. Here’s the current list:
New house: searching, moving, associated redecoration etc.
Learn a musical instrument. Probably keyboard/piano?
    Bee keeping.
Running/cycling as long as I can.
Listening to all the music I’ve bought over recent years but not got round to actually listening. Discovering new music via streaming.
Have an urge to return to a bit of aero modelling. (Thanks Harry the Spider!) 1st on list: 1:48 Fw190A!
Couple of mornings a week volunteering.
    More time in the kitchen.
Friends taken up an allotment, so I’m watching that with interest.
Dunno how I’d fit in even half that……

Always liked the edge he brought to his nature broadcasting. Particularly enjoyed the black c*ck incident from a few years back. Absolute legend.

If your happy with Golf/A3 size wise add Mazda 3 to list. Drive nice, roomier cabin & boot and more reliable in my experience. Mrs on 3rd one now, changing every 4 years. I’ve had a series of GTD company cars and I know what I’d be having if I was spending my own money.

    Tonight it’ll be something like:
Darkness on the Edge of Town: Bruce Springsteen (a constant)
Exile on Main Street: Rolling Stones
It’s Too Late to Stop Now: Van Morrison

Tomorrow night 2 & 3 will likely change!

Summer has been dedicated to Plymouth Gin with Fever Tree Sicilian Lemonade. Apart from 2 weeks in Bavaria dedicated to as much Weissbier as I could get away with. Heading into winter I’ll be reverting to g&t’s; probably Botanist, Cotswold Distillery, or may try Red Pepper for something new.

Not sure how easy it’s going to be to find a succession of brunettes with 3 legs.

Left my wallet in the supermarket a few weeks ago. Handed in, all present and correct. OK, it was Waitrose but still, there are nice people all around.

Currently off work with pneumonia. Not sure I could manage the 400m walk to the paper shop at the moment. Spectacular phlegm tho’.

I recognise too many of these for comfort. The knife one particularly disturbs me.

I was going to ask if it satisfies the Inktober rules, but as this thread seems to have morphed into a similarly bad tempered exchange I’ll just let you get on with it.

Ordinarily don’t have a problem with offal, but would draw a line at that.

Bad times. Kinda lost track of where he was at after Southern Accents, but American Girl intro still raises hairs on the back of my neck 40 years on.

Meindl. Comfort out the box in our experience. Broke all the rules last summer, Brand new, 2 weeks alpine walking. As comfy as a pair of baffies!

    Cotswold Gin with pink grapefruit.
    The Botanist.
Just finished my first bottle of Martin Millers and was pleasantly surprised. Didn’t need lime, cucumber etc., fine with just a good tonic.
Heard good things about Pink Pepper, but yet to try a bottle.

Essel, also remember Starfighters at Leuchers around that time or perhaps a bit earlier. Extremely loud and very smoky I seem to recall. Also EE Lightnings. Nothing nowadays to match the thrill of those days – tho maybe it’s an age thing, through rose tinted specs.
