Vibration may be due to pad/rotor contamination?

Magura changed the Marta pads around 2008 or 9, when they introduced the easy bleed port in the reservoir cover, if I remember correctly. Yours are the earlier type. I have at least 4 Magura original pairs from my old Martas in sealed packaging somewhere in the garage. Also, an Epic Brake Bleeding Solutions bleed kit, unused but open – I read the instructions.
£6/pair and £10 for the bleed kit, posted, if you’re interested.
Just to clarify, having now read the further posts, the round ones are the earlier, 5.1 type.

Subscription to Cranked? Sorry guys, but issue 1 was best mtb thing I’ve read in a very long time.

+1 for Ground Effect. Really rate the synthetic/ merino mix, as you suggest makes them much more durable than solely wool. Admittedly not as stylish as some tho’.

No pics, I’m afraid, but looking good Thursday night in the woods around Ipsden, Stoke Row and Nuffield loop. Should be peak blue haze next weekend.

Keen sandals fell apart after 1 summer of moderate use. Low rise walking shoes, on the other hand, are well nigh indestructible. Maybe I was just unlucky with the former. They do look a bit stupid though.
Live in Birkies around the house/garden etc. Not really practical for extended walking imho.
    Dunno if this helps really…………

As per the Don. Recently had a similar issue, stripped down and replaced a few bits that were due changing. Still persisted. Turned out to be the non-drive Raceface crank/axle interface. However I’d start by looking at the BB & pedals.

Just replaced my worn out original Raptor with current. No brainer. Really like the long bladder zip. Only drawback is you have to route the hose over your right shoulder. Not an issue for me personally.

Used to go to Giffords Circus when sprog younger. Tours around the Cotswold area every year or two. Despite being a bit of a colour supplement chi-chi affair it’s actually very enjoyable.

Almost 3 weeks now. 1st week hideous, completely exhausted, wracking cough and drenching night sweats. Started some tentative exercise last week, tho still have a niggling cough. Gone round the whole office. Couple of weeks ago 7 out of 20 were off with it! Possible bike ride tomorrow, fingers crossed.

Apologies for a bit of a hijack, but is it possible to get a decent bond between existing and new sealant? 1 of the 3 sealed sides of our shower tray has started to peel away from upper surface of tray – others are fine. Was hoping to remove, clean up and redo only the defective run?

Football loyalties aren’t simple in much of Scotland, and not limited to Rangers/Celtic. Ever been to Larkhall?

Like others I’m thinking Rangers/Celtic? Replace it with a non-sectarian alternative if the lad’s a football fan. Let your friend know what an @rse he is.

Watching this post & replies with interest, sadly. I’ll be back home next week and I’ll be having some difficult conversations with sister re whether we are now at this point with mum. Not helped by me being 400 miles away, with moving back not an option in the near future.
Finding it all really difficult to come to terms with, to be honest.

Will you die? Yes, I’m afraid it’s unavoidable. Hopefully no time soon, tho’. Good luck for tomorrow.

Banos is a spa resort town, popular with locals & visitors and none the worse for it. We particularly enjoyed a couple of days in Otovalo, a less commercialised market town. Cotopaxi climb if you’re up for the altitude. Guided, but non-technical. If I’m honest, while the walking was enjoyable enough I can’t say it merited travelling 1/2 way round the world for. Better elsewhere in S America.
Mind you all this was 25 years ago……

As per b r, OS is your friend around here. If you want some reliable, tried & tested routes have a look at the Rough Ride Guide books – was doing the Chilterns guide with the supplementary pack thrown in last time I looked. Bargaintastic!

Say thank you. Lactose intolerant. Better than spending the rest of the day in the sh*tt*r. It’s the absence of cheese that hurts most.

Aqualisa here. Only negative is the sealed pump/mixer unit, which they insist is non serviceable should it go wrong out of guarantee. Nonsense of course. They choose to keep it so by not making spares available, so they can supply and install it for something approaching £300. Expensive way to stop the inevitable eventual drip. Plenty plumbing forums give advice on repair.

Enerdale Round, starting from Buttermere, up Red Pike and round to Great Gable, down to Black Sail. Early start back up and continue the round, finishing off by dropping back down into Ennerdale and over Red Pike to the start.

Not ours, but we will be at Sandcastle Cottage, Crail for the 8th year in a row at Easter. Can’t recommend highly enough.
