@ the bikechain im near bath so nearly as far away as i could get.thanks for the offer though.@ alpin i ride with the seatpost quite low anyway and with an inline post so i can get off the back of the saddle without moving the post.@ grimupnorth your dimensions are identical to mine so may go for a 16.i was looking at the one for sale in the classifieds on here which is a mk1 but its smaller again 15.5 and 21 TT.
a friend and myself done picnic bench on sunday as our last down and it was clear enough.we also had a look at the hole in the wall? that comes out on the otherside to picnic bench.its got a better run out of the wall instead of the tight righthander it used to have.has it been like this long? it now goes round a tree at the bottom.not sure what this trail is called?
ive just ordered a spearfish after months of delegating of what to buy either 26 or 29.i demoed trek and orange at the end of last year and neither really left any impression on me.one of my friends has a giant 29 hardtail and the speed of it is quite abit more than a 26.i think on the vast majority of xc orientated mountain biking 29 is the way forward.i still reserve judgement on really steep cliffside drop in sections until ive tried it.
showed a friend today there is more to bristol than ashton court for mountain biking.local knowledge is the key! great weather and fantastic dry dusty trails ace!
im with singlecrack with the pig iron :-) im assuming singlecrack is the pasty? should be in the woods there floundering around hopefully meet up.
i had a avalanche of 91 ish vintage which also was bb.looked for all the world like a zaskar.the only difference being the made in usa tag and probably the welds not looking as good.
Loco – I got showered by some scrotum yesterday who decided it would be funny to drive through a puddle really fast and get me wet, so I can sympathise but I am staying grumpy for now! it happens to all of us but you can take heed in the fact that the scrots you mentioned are prize cocks driving mechanical arseholes day in day out!
i did think theyre would be snow but i thought the lower ground around loch morlich would be ok ish.thanks sweepy i will keep you posted.when you say i hope so do you ski?
this may sound daft but have you had the engine oil changed recently? if it hasnt the oil will be very thick and when that coincides with the cold weather it may not let the engine turn over quick enough to start it.even a new battery will struggle to start it.
My choice would be to get a ’99 Mondeo for a grand and blow the rest on a Foes DHS…
+1 for the above.any money chucked at a mechanical arsehole i.e.car is a waste.buy yourself 1 or 2 bikes you like with the saving and buy a car for a couple of grand max.i work on cars everyday and one is very much the same as the other.the newer stuff is very trouble some.buy something pre 2002 and save your money.
Oh and whilst we are at it, could everyone please stop buying tyres that cost more than car tyres? Can’t you see they are taking the p!ss charging these prices? Its a strip of rubbery canvas. ive always thought this as well.
