i remember my dad dropping me off at the train station wishing me good luck, gave me £5 and off i went to ATR Pirbright. that was 9 years ago, im now a civvi. Wished i stayed in but family choices had to be made and my trade was dying (went from 35 to 20 in 6 months) not many small trades in the forces.

any way, good luck, have fun you will always remember your time as a RCT.

is it all brand new? if its not worn together that may cause this issue.

i have had a great service there, But then again my brother is the manger of the branch. every time i have been in there and watched them doing other peoples cars (i hang around and chat with them) i have never noticed any thing wrong/iffy. but my brother does love his tyre bonus (sell michelin to win a chance to win a ps3 etc etc.)

also with all of them you have shell length and axle length.

How do you make your living? – cloak maker. restore, clean, fit autowinding units to big clocks.

Are you happy doing it? – sometimes.

Would you considering a change of career? – yep! if a job with progression turned up and paid the same or even better more i would be gone no questions asked.

Does it pay enough for you to mtb comfortably? yeah, but not much left to save

I wont clear out side my house! snow has far more grip that sheet ice. Also the fellow 4 doors up had some one try to sue him last year when she fell over out side his house (he had cleared the path)

the only way he got away with it was by saying he was not sure who cleared the path.

Im a clockmaker. been there for 2 years now.

spent 7 years in the Army REME as a welder/shipwright. I enjoy my job but i would love to do some thing else. I have applied for a few jobs in a completely different sector. I would love to be a police man or ambulance driver.

i think im lucky to have a job TBH and im going to be stuck at my company for a while yet.

I am dyslexic, and have found it has not stopped me too much. I applied to become a special police constable, but was told my spelling and grammar was not up to the standards required. I also applied to become a paramedic but again poor spelling. It did not stop me whist i was in the army. passed all my welding quals easy got my coding. found a job as clock engineer, luckily the boss said “your dyslexic aren’t you?” “yes sir, i am” boss “that’s great, dyslexics make the best horological engineers. You hired”

but i would love to be able to spell and more importantly punctuate.

i was caught earlier this year (45 in a 30) 3 lane carriageway.

I was caught and i took the punishment like a man. 3 points and £60 fine, 5 weeks later i received a letter saying i had not handed my Licence in to the police station (i had) Long story short. They lost my licence and decided to re-imburse me the £60, knock the points off and give me £20 for a new Licence.

i also got caught on the a31 89 in a 70 i was sent to a speeding lesson for that.
