As it’s a water dispersant (hence Wd) i cant see any reason why it wouldnt help.

go to your local bike shop and ask them. if it was me i wouldn’t be looking at a screw on hub. i would convert a 9 speed hub as i feel they are easier to service.

TBH there are better places to live south of the river. carshalton is a nice area. im not to sure how big your budget is but cousldon is a nice area as is bansted. get on the trails in 20 mins (holmbury) or you could ride there.
