8km “run” this evening annoyingly there’s a fallen tree at the far away point of my run which means I have to do an unnecessary wee add on to clock 5 miles.
It was chilly but it’s a nice enough run into the hills.

We have the soggy dishcloths issue but every so often someone “cleans” is in a sink of bleach. It’d be nice to know that before I start putting dishes in to wash them.

Mrs 100th did a breeze MacMillan ride so I drive her there then pedalled back the hard way. 1000m climb in 32km even the golferists seemed cheery as I rode across the course.

Used to like tg and in the beginning they were quite funny but did lose its shine quickly. I suppose there are only so many times bumping your mates car is funny. I think I lost interest totally around the Vietnam trip as it could have been so much better but was just a bit shit.

Really enjoy Clarkson’s Farm and Hammond’s Workshop.

Never wanted to see the farm as I think jc is just an arse. Accidentally watched some of a Hammond workshop and dear God he can’t disappear into obscurity fast enough. None of the “charm” of top gear without any of the humour.

Got a capra (uncaged) really nice bike. Takes everything in it’s stride I had a 2018 specialized enduro before (ex team race bike) and the capra just feels nicer although taller. It’s a proper enduro bike though. I’d suggest the jeffsey if your thinking trail/enduro. If I didn’t have a trail ht in the garage I’d probably have gone jeffsey and it’s reduced.

Digital thermostat set at 16.5 heating will come on when that gets triggered. 16 is min I’ll go to. House built 1880 thick stone walls but can’t insulate roof, cost of insulated plaster board is eye watering.

@somafunk SAAS will probably give full “grant”/loan payment in your friends case (will at least cover accommodation) and unis will have bursaries that can be applied for. Also Lions club and round table etc will give money for books and other necessities. There are funds out there that will help little amounts but they will make the difference.
