Not sure that there will be many NHS dentists doing root canal treatment at the moment, there’s a pandemic on don’t you know!

Push fit BB… and I’m out. I can’t get on with them. Maybe this one has greater engineering tolerances than any previous ones I’ve had, but I don’t fancy taking the risk especially with it being a direct to consumer brand.
It does look a great bike for around the south Downs where I live and is a hell of a lot cheaper than the Transition Spur.

My god, that is a thing of beauty. Not helping my dilemma of whether or not to sell 2 bikes and get a spur.

I now use a shed shackle with 19mm chain which is secured about 3 foot off the ground. I can secure 3 bikes this way with a 3 metre chain. The shed shackle would allow me to run another chain through if I needed to, so could secure 6 if the chain was long enough. Majority of the cost is in a good thick chain. I was surprised how much they are.

The whole set up cost me about £200 but money well spent if it stops the bikes being nicked.

Brilliant shoes, but as has been said, not water resistant in the slightest.
I like them because I tend to get hot feet. Won’t be using them come winter.

My friend managed to get round all the trails (including the black, but avoiding the rockclimb at the start) on a fully rigid last week and he’s a very cautious rider. I would definitely say the trails are more blue than red, but as above, much fun to be had hitting them as fast as you can.
The worst of the steep climbs (cardiac) is currently closed.

Cheers gents, off to buy some Franke mixers.
No problem with her nephew other than fitting cheap, and charging expensive.

Cheers, I couldn’t get the cartridges out yesterday when I had a look, not easy to service.

4 days doesn’t seem all that long to sell a higher end bike (price dependant of course). There’s going to be a much smaller percentage of people looking for a carbon full sus bike than an average alu hardtail.
Is Sunday still the go to day for selling stuff? Always used to be when I sold stuff on eBay.
Ultimately it depends on well priced it is.

£500 a month for 4 of us, with an 11 y/o and a 12y/o. No booze, a few sweets and all home cooked meals. I imagine thats going to increase when the kids hit angry teenage growing phase.

Just to make sure the OP really gets turned in circles…
I have a 2017 reverb that’s not missed a beat since it was fitted.

It’s really difficult, I had all afternoon trying to ignore the neighbours in the garden, but when they started banging on about how unfair it was that ‘young people (they’re about 10 years younger than me) are going to lose out so much’ and how it’s ‘easy for older people to social distance’, I had enough, and had to go inside. Cockwombles the lot of them. They’re still going.

I’ve always gone direct and had no problems at all. They dispatch from the UK, so delivery is pretty quick.

I have no plans to start, I’m just quietly seething about it.
I know, I should just have a beer and forget about it, and I’m trying….

My neighbour currently has 10 or 12 people round for a knees up. Lovely time they’re having too. I’ve become a curtain twitcher, despite trying to let it roll over me. Just pisses me off that as a family we’ve stuck to the rules, and people out there are just thinking it’s ok to have gatherings like this.
My father and mother in law are shielding, so not seen them for 8-9 weeks, business is currently shut down, I’ve lost my holiday, my daughter and son are going insane in the house without seeing their mates, and for what?
R number will be going back up again soon I reckon.

I thoroughly enjoyed that, a reminder that life is short and humans are pretty insignificant in the grand scheme of things. Get out there (or not currently….) and enjoy yourself.

The missus thought it was rubbish.

    Takes all sorts I guess.

Bike discount.de. never a problem, always informed of delivery situation. They use DPD and we have a large local depot so very good. Cheap for most larger items. Take a bit longer to deliver, although still quicker than Tredz.
I like Wiggle, cheap, next day delivery for a year for £10 and I know the Hermes courier so never any problem for delivery. Yodel on the other hand…..
