working on my fitness, and this baby is going to be a big part of that

That's what I used to tell myself until I woke up next to cafe nero and realised it was just bull talking me into parting with money to buy a bike.

Your time will come 😆

Least you have plans anyway, nice ride and it gets the thumbs up from me.

Iirc the athertons race arouund on Cervelo's to train on just for a hoot.

All these dull ass new bits threads from pshycho are making me wonder what the 'ell he does for a living as well as the small hint of him being on here all the time 😛

Oh and very swish wheels.
You'll look uber 8) in the town centre outside cafe nero.
Not sure what to do next and at 40 I feel I should know. Isn't life supposed to begin at 40?

It is if you fall into the single category and fall for mass advertising hence the good excuse to join Match.com 🙄

😛

Am sorry to hear of your loss. Perhaps rather than make excuses not to go out on your bike, simply ask yourself out loud (sounds silly but it works) why ''not'' to go out on your bike, – whilst changing your language to more appropriate (opposite in your case I would imagine?)
positive type.

Try it, at the end of the day, if you go with the flow of this method, it will confirm an achievement played on your part and is time for taking note of that and how you feel in yourself.

That's enough of the directing other people's life for now, now I must direct my life off of the laptop. 😆

Good constructive comments coming from (konabunny/mr north/bigdummy) these thread contributors.

To sum up I would of thought or imo is that ''we as life coach clients just need that final eye opener and in some cases, a push.

Just my sterling's worth.

yesh @nols but if you go into it having an attitude like that then of course, it won't work.

Just don't give them your bank account details teehee. 😆

To op, – always be one of the things I would of done/do once I had won the lottery but beginning to think it's not worth it otherwise as I life coach 'n' train myself nowadays.

If you feel intrigued and genuinely interested in progressing your "life'' forward then GO FOR IT!

On-one, pah!

You'll be wanting Ti then if you like steel, just you wait till you try Ti though, be a bit more lively with more feedback.

Next, brand, Lynskey 26" ss looks quite tasty.
Then of course an old skool black sheep for classic beach look.

wack some cromo or pace rc31's on either of which you have chosen.

OR if you have real man's money, then a Whyte 19 Ti would be the ticket.

Food for thought. 😛

Same as loddrik here but was only using them on road, through bumpy fields and dirt tracks and they were second hand when I bought them.

I'd say do what loddrik mentions BUT obviously check the qr skewer every ride on them, you know the usual.

Were the best improvement to a whippet bike ever. sadly sold on though.

Oh flex on the rc31's is noticable if this kind of weight but were still dependable forks.

Wouldn't really go jumping or doing street on them for any length of time mind 😈

They ain't all that
i had a problem earlier this year – their attitude beggared belief.

Touche!

Just like Crc are also.

Hence why I haven't purchased from neither for years.

Would rather pay a bit extra like a few on here to support local and up and coming shops which show initiative to be committed to customer service and come across with a good basic attitude.

The attitude thing really bugs me as I have found so many times with shops who are just reaching out into the mail order world and becoming bigger.

I also understand it's a business but is meant to be one of those business's that's more laid back and one which should ''get on well with'' fellow riders at the end of the day.

My pounds worth! 🙂

Sure they'll be fine. Personally I use 5.10's on v12's and are a good match indeed, Fox trainers ''stewart'' are a good option also as iirc, they retail for £35.

GiantJaunt – you still need a firm spring for your pikes as I have one for sale at the moment?

Whyte 19 alloy/steel/ti, as that would be worthy of a good build and is 30.9mm I'm sure on all 19's.

Perfect Uk hardtail!

So I guess, you should make a ''umpteenth'' new thread on what metal to have in a frame 😆

@tinas – yes, I could I think go upto a 17t maximum on the front and a 36t or whatever's available to alter the top speed. (should of said I have considered doing this but seing as I want good low to mid range pull, I'll stick with the gear ring ratio I have at the mo). 🙂

@bikerbruce – you may or may not know that speedos on 125cc bikes scooters whatever do not tend to be accurate and can be off stating upto 15mph more than actual speed.

As you may know too, these sort of greenlaning bikes aren't built for top speed as they begin to get wonder in terms of handling especially when on a dual carriageway 😯

Really I guess, hoping and want confirming that when the restrictor comes off soon that I will notice a good bit of gain and that it will just open up as a new fresh bike to ride once I get the full aftermarket exhaust kit fitted too with a rejet too added for good measure.

KTC -yes I've got 1 1/2 months left on my restricted license before it fully blossoms. I started off small and am gradually building upto a big bike but tbh, the 400 is perfect for my needs. pointless getting a big bike unless you ramp it down motorways doing boring mileage imo.

For starters, what 400cc doesn't need restricing if your on a restricted license. my 400 gives out 39bhp as standard and that's pretty below or standard than other bikes i.e. Ktm of similar type bikes.
I'm taking it your being sarcastic as the last comment but to be frank, I'm quite the opposite. Of course, I'm a newbie to the world of motorcycling but then everyone has to start somewhere.
Tbh, I get enough of that sort of attitude from my local dealer of past.

Great,- so any other people with experience of supermotos or restricting knowledge on here.

ta 🙂

Hmmm, can never get enough of looking at the Whyte 19's, especially as they handle spot on and designed in the Uk too.

Got to admit that actually even sort of looks Ti'ish to me if it wasn't for the manky sticker(s).

size? 😕

Merely implying that Avid QC probably isn't as good as others, even Rockshox forks under the Sram group were plagued with minor issues like leaking oil from new forks on arrival in their boxed up state.

Maybe it's down to so much demand for them that, that's why they have to just get them out the factory asap.

Apart from the bolt to thread problem, Avid Ultimates are stonkingly good brakes from experience.

@TJ – if your more worried about security regarding a possible front wheel falling out the dropouts,

a) maybe you should take up a safer past time
b) you are real hard core and really pushing it off the ground resulting in the need of a bolt thru fork
c) you find the benefits of a bolt thru are that the legs don't twist (especially after having ridden qr Fox forks to the equivalent 15mm fox) and that they do in fact track better as they are less likely to flick all over the place than the 20mm option or even the 15mm.

Lapierre Zesty 914 perhaps may just be the ticket.
Looks the dogs and certainly will urge you to ride more I would of thought.

+1 for the above comment even though I too am tempted in the future to buy Orange. I would definitely suggest to try a single pivot before laying down what an Orange costs.

Personally, it would be a Lapierre Zesty 914 or a Yeti asr 5 Carbon if I had the money to blow on a bike of that calibre.

Having said that, is the Yeti a single pivot even though it's got a link to control the shock stroke?

Believe it or not I have purchased a new set of avid ultimates from merlin cycles with this exact problem.

Must be a QC issue. (maybe)
