Going to join the Stooge club. Whats the colour to go for guys. Also going to run it 27+. What rims are people running with this setup.

I’ve been thinking about getting the new slackline but not had any reports yet on how it rides. I think its probably a better all around trail bike than the switchback yet more agro than a Soul – which is a good thing !

so. Dt xm481s or WTB asymmetrics seem to be the recommendation – which one to go for?

Sounds like the DT350 is the go.

My feeling at this moment is to go DT although people have been saying the new hope 4s are pretty good

Yes. Thought about the stans arches MK3s but wondered if they would be stiff enough for a 29er wheel and also i guess thought 30mm as opposed to 26mm would be good to try

How are you finding them in terms of stiffness?

Sounds promising singlespeed. I’m not a heavy rider and dont thrash my wheels. DTs seem to have a good pedigree of late

Where did you get your built up? – what sort of weight did they come in at?

Ton – are the flows the MK3s as that’s what i would be after

The xm481s weight about the same as the Flows and the ARC 30mm.

How does it roll compared to a Magic Mary?

Currently riding Magic Mary up front and DHR2 on the rear

Love the MM (great volume and grip wet or dry) and yes it is a bit draggy.

Think i may change to a Rock Razor out back to speed things up a bit – would love to try the aggressor but no 29er

Is there anything else that grips as well as the Magic Mary up front that’s faster rolling that i could use?

Was thinking a DHF but in 29er format can only get 2.3 (to skinny) and 2.5 (bloody heavy)

How do the Rock Razor and Minion SS compare to the Ardent Race in terms of braking and cornering performance?

Just trying to find a good summer tyre combo for my Evil Following. Think i may go DHR2 front and Minion SS rear

Yes was looking at the ardent race as well. Got a Magic Mary Front and DHR2 back at the moment which has been amazing over the winter

Want something a little faster rolling for the summer so was thinking DHR2 front and either Minion SS / Rock Razor or Arent Race out back

When does the new switchback come out ?

I ran a Zee with a 40t Hope extender for a while before it twisted into a ball of metal. Swapped to an new xt M8000 rear mech and its been bloody amazing. Sweet 10spd shifting – so much better

For a 29er rim for trail riding would you guys go 28 hole or 32 hole?

Thats the thing for me. I loved my old pro 2s and i know some people like the sound. I just found them too loud !

Anyone else using the pro4 and can let me know how loud they are compared to pro 2’s

Awesome. How are people finding the DT 350 hubs. Was trying to decide between these or new Hope Pro 4s. Just had some Mavic XLs. Great wheels but the hubs really took too much looking after
