The above eBay link for the SRAM boots is good, mine arrived today from them. Would not use carbon cranks without them.
They are definitely carbon arms under closer inspection from a magnifier despite my initial worry.
Hopefully my slik x01 graphics will arrive by the end of the week to jazz them up a bit also.
I must say the gxp spindle does look quite weedy compared to the dub crank I removed.

Its a good point, how do you know if these are carbon? Its not like the description was accurate.
I just cant tell. They sound quite different tapping them compared to my x01 dh cranks that I know are carbon.
I needed 170mm 32tooth boost cranks anyway, but would still be miffed if they weren’t carbon even at that price.

No. Im the tightest person I know with a small house, old van & generally scruffy appearance. I never made the lifestyle choice to get married or have children as they seem a moneypit.

I hated the 2nd hand pair that came on a bike initially. But after a millions bleeds, new hose & pads they are very very good, certainty par with saint for stopping power.

I have some spare saints ready to go, but have not felt the need to swap them over.

The levers feel a bit fragile, so if they fail or snap  I will fit the shimano m820 level & retain the calipers.

Dh push up or uplift days only.I have no interest in xc, road, general pedalling trail type rides etc.

Stunning based on a demo. A hightower rode up a hill with no eagle & the seat far too low before I realised I was at the top. I normally push my bike up the same hill.

A bronson had immense precision, picked up speed downhill like nothing ive ever experienced  and gave me a level of confidence Ive never had on any other bike.

Yes wtb tough for finale for sure. Actually wtb are my goto tyre for the enduro bike, breakout or trailboss for the rear in tough and vigilante for the front. I ride the tough regardless as I dont like the way these superlight sidewall tyres feel like they are coming off the rim in fast berms. Breakouts are hard to come by now, especially at the price I want to pay for them.

Mary vertstar wired on the dh bike, seeing as crc had them on special for £22 the other week.

Being super tight fisted about £40 is my limit to spend on a tyre, so I was all over the £10 trailboss deal from planetx.

I dont ride in winter so Im not concerned about grip in sloppy mud.
