The trend is clear here and IMO UK/EU trafe is overstated by the Rotterdam effect anyway

Oh Jambas, don’t start that cr@p again – you were called out on it resolutely last time round!

We are going have to agree to disagree.

If you don’t like that – you know what to do..

It is, but, when it’s just trolling and obfuscation, well, there’s not much point.

I’m not sure he is trolling – I think he genuinely believes in what he says, which is why you do have to have a degree of engagement.

Like I said, if you do t like my engaging with him…add me to the list.

But then, where would we be? When we’re censoring opinions we find upsetting or challenging…..for that reason I’m against a kilfile & why I’ll never use one.

    No Zokes, I won’t.

You may not like what he has to say – but he has a right to say it & ive the right to quote it & reply to it.

So, sorry I won’t. You’ll have to add me to the list if you don’t want to read what he’s written.

Which, I think, would be a shame as I think it’s important to know what the other side are thinking otherwise you’re just in a bubble…& that’s not healthy for any discussion.

PJM it would make perfect sense for them to be offered spare rooms by home owners. What Corbyn suggested was pure and simple “class warfare” he wanted to confiscate property.

Who on earth would decide a property was empty anyway ? Some lefty walking past and sees no lights on so he “occupies” it ? Thats what Corbyn was suggesting.

    He’s flipped!

There’s an older guy who regularly parks in my street – I live right in centre of town – who quite obviously has some sort of degenerative illness, takes him a good 15 minutes or so to get out the car and away, one arm shaking badly and the other arm limply hanging by his side.

    &

I know someone who is regularly drink driving and also taking drugs & driving.

    2 totally different things.

1 is obviously, it seems, breaking the law & is unfit to drive.

The other – how can you tell if he’s fit or not?

I can tell you there is going to be no substantive progress on the exit bill by October

I think he may have a point, but he phrased it terribly!

There several investment companies & high net worth individuals who’ve purchased a good number of properties with no other intention than using them as a “land-bank “. I feel these are the properties he has in mind.

Pied a terres are a different matter – though I imagine there aren’t many on STW who have such things, let alone in W8?

So Jamba, tell us how we will be better off without any EU red tape & pesky bosses telling us what to do when we are going to have to replace said tape & bosses with tape & bosses of our own so we can sell stuff to someone we already sell to??

This about sums peoples attitude to those that work in the countryside

Grew up on a farm, went to agricultural college, worked on a farm, owned a farm.

Like all things, there are 2 sides to every story.

People have become nasty and aggressive rather than curious and objective – and the politically correct liberal crowd are to blame.

IME, most of them do not have a choice.

DIY at 11.30pm come under that category?

He does sound like a bit of a bell-end IMHO…

IME noisy neighbours don’t often a F about disturbing others, in fact I think complaining just encourages them.

In some part of their weak brain it’s a win for them if they’ve wound someone up. An attitude I’ve never understood & never been able to reason with…

The EU is full of ego-tists wanting to be “in charge” of stuff

    #jambafact….

    & the UK isn’t???

Get out of your little sphere Jambas & smell the coffee, the EU isn’t to blame for all & any evils you can possibly dream up to spin as a lie against the EVIL EU!

Of course there is no clear context

    Indeed.

So, it seems quite apparent that it’s unclear quite exactly what was meant…..& so the flat-earthers jump to the most bonkers one. Makes sense..

Lots of idealism here as usual. Just who was to finance all these wonderful upgrades?

£7 billion pencilled in for the Houses of Parliament refurbishment
£370 million available for Buckingham Palace refurbishment
£200,000 for installation of life saving sprinklers in a social housing tower block seems like small change.
You can see why people get angry.

Just going to leave that here for you..

Yay, fag packet calculations are for winners.

“The British Automatic Fire Sprinkler Association (BAFSA), the trade body for the fire sprinkler industry, said retrofitting Grenfell Tower with sprinklers might have cost £200,000”

Back in your box Tory Boi!
