You mean no noticeable power band? I see that as a +, but taking it towards the red line gets things growling more and accelerating harder…. Each to their own ;). I just love bikes!

I love my 04 Daytona. I’ve put one of those comfort bar conversions on it which makes slower riding a lot easier! I don’t think it feels heavy, nice and stable but will change direction without too much effort.
Have a look at the marketplace on triumphtorque.com, some nice bikes sold through there – and you get some good feedback on what’s wrong with them!

andybach – you don’t sound like somebody who’s only in it for the cushty lifestyle (often a myth anyway IME!). Seems you enjoy getting out and seeing the places you live in rather than seeking out other ex pats in faux Irish bars, so I would go for it. If you don’t you could find yourself feeling bored with the UK anyway…..

You’ll know best whether to continue with shorter assignments or go for something long(er) term.

I wouldn’t bother querying the size, that damage to the rear of the seat tube which wasn’t mentioned by the seller is a clincher – deffo not cable rub. Tell the seller you want a full refund or you’ll raise a dispute.
