Are you saying they are all down to the rotational forces caused by helmets???

Think I’ll take a lie down. Just not sure now whether it should be with or without a helmet 🙁

    S’okay – I’m a pin head, so even with a helmet on doesn’t catch on too much….

Given that many helmet manufacturers are American and given the high levels of litigation in the US I think there it’s a safe assumption that helmets a) do a reasonable job in many cases and b) don’t actually cause injury.
I’ve had one serious off, thankfully at fairly low speed, but from the marks I found on my helmet afterwards I was glad I had it between the ground and my skull. My son was also pleased he was wearing one when he was around ten and trying to pull wheelies on the drive. He looped it in the end, winded himself and banged his head on the deck. Again he was pleased to have a helmet on. Nuff said.

Isn’t that the way helmets work??? They absorb some of the impact, and break doing so. Which means your head doesn’t break (as much).

I’ve got the same problem, been trying all sorts to quieten em down. Now realise it’s since I fitted ebc sintered pads…..

I reckon you could buy a better bike new for that money – plenty of 07 and 08 bikes still on offer.

Well played Fulham. Even if Villa lose tomorrow Utd will still be top, and still a game in hand. But squeaky bum time or what?!?

ok, I’m now gonna stamp my foot. I would probably grind to a halt after a couple of hours, but should be a great day for a ride.

🙁 wanna have a decent ride with a group of ………… awfully decent peeps 😉

How many expected? How long’s the ride? When’s the next one?!?

Prefer without – just another cable and more clutter on the bars. Not a problem to reach down to a lock out on the fork leg, and only very very occasionally get caught out with it locked out heading into rougher stuff when a remote lockout would be handy!

Unfortunately I don’t have one, but been drooling over them in a LBS. Great looking bikes, finish is top quality – the green 314 (?) would be my pick. Don’t want to ride one, suspect it would lead to my ruin 🙁 WMB really rates it if that’s anything to go by.

Chelsea don’t always sell their allocation for every match. No chance of that at OT or the Anfield.

Great performance from Liverpool, couldn’t do anything but laugh when the 4th went in. Hopefully Utd will get back to winning ways from here on…..

You don’t seem to have done anything wrong ton.
Dibbs is no use to anybody apart from the tyre kickers. I want to see pics of stuff if buying from peeps I’ve not dealt with before – I’ve had my fingers burned a few times, so excuse my cynicism! Unfortunately for sellers there seem to be more timewasters on here these days 🙁
One seller did get my goat after I had said I would take an item, he then turned round and sold it to a mate instead…. but I try not to be too sensitive!
I’m searching for a frame at the mo, been in touch with a few people asking for pics and info etc, but I’ve made it clear I have to be sure on sizing and may want to try one for fit before going firm. I’m sensible enough to know if somebody pitches up with payment then I’ve lost out, and I hope I’m not leading sellers on.
Can’t understand people that can’t be bothered answering posts/email – would have bought a frame off here this week, but the seller wasn’t interested in giving any info about condition, use, etc – although there were pics.
But 90% of the time it’s a pleasure doing business with you all 🙂 Group hug…..

It was fishing that got me into biking – only way I could get out and about in the school hols. First experience of off roading was cycling to byron’s pool in Grantchester – used to have a clunky steel frame, 3 speed sturmey archer hub gear, wide mx bars (pried open the soft steel quill stem to make it fit) and short ally guards. Heaven on a summer’s day 😉

Mint accompanied my intro to mtb, still gives me a nice warm feeling! Good on ya JoB.

Scott for the road, P7 for the real riding 😉 Don’t agree the Trek looks better – slick in a corporate kinda way, but the Orange looks more fun.

P7 – a steel orange, what other reason could you want??? Ride them both and then choose.

hora – but knackered bearings, pivots and shocks are difficult to disguise, even if the paint looks good.
