Norton this year for me. It’s like any sort of insurance, though, you don’t how good it is until you are in trouble!

GF’s 5 year old playing on his Xmas Wii, me and the lass having a few beers then a meal. Guess we’ll all be in bed before 9:00!

Haven’t read the thread, but do any of you who remember the supposedly militant miners’ leader in the 70s who later accepted a peerage; presumably as a thank you for his duplicity :-)

Beer only at weekends for me. GF says she will stop smoking dope. We’ll see how it works out!

I agree, I wouldn’t let some BT guy surface mount cables around skirting boards and door frames either.

Sorry for not reading all the above, but when I hear folk telling me how great their massive luxury 4WD SUVs are in the snow I ask them how far they are going to get if some menopausal female with the spatial awareness of a small insect has caused a massive pileup and completely blocked the road!

    Lifetime DIY experience here!

Get them to rip it all out and to start again, it’s totally f**cked.

Just use a brush and cold water without adding any detergent, and allow to dry naturally.

And I thought I was having a hard times on 1 Mbps. What really pisses me off is that I’m paying the same as those on at least 20x that speed. This BT monopoly of the infrastructure can’t be right.

Try AVForums. The rules are very tight, but once you establish a good trading reputation it’s a great place to sell, buy or trade. As a new member you may have to send the items first before receiving payment, but if you are dealing with an established member you’ll have nothing to worry about.

On a similar note, GF was smacked by former BF in a busy town centre while handing over her young child for a day with his father. CCTV everywhere, yet police claimed it didn’t show the incident. GF told me to stay out of it, but it makes me think the police couldn’t be ars**d.

Sorry, mate, but if it’s arthritis you are f**cked. You can spend a fortune on any treatment you chose and in the end it won’t make a scrap of difference. I know, I’ve been there!

All diplomatic relations with the inlaws ended very recently here. Apparently over something that occurred in May!

    WTF?

Interesting how it became such an iconic weapon

Apparently, it worked every time – without much maintainance – whether you were a highly trained soldier or a third world freedom fighter/terrorist.

I once had the opportunity to go to east Africa to help out on an educational turn-key project, I declined on health risk grounds. A university colleague jumped at the chance and on his return spent quite a while at the Leeds tropical medicine hospital (or whatever it was actually called then). He still has health problems to this day as a consequence. They didn’t call Africa the white man’s graveyard for nothing!

The telecoms tower (sorry, can’t remember the correct name) is fantastic: you can see the whole of Berlin from the top.

im pretty sure its not notifiable under “part p”, its not a new circuit and as long as its not in a special location then it dont need to be notified.

take the cover off and see where the cables run, hopefully there is 2, if they both go down or up, lift a board (upstairs or down) find cables, cut, identify they are the correct cables with a continuity tester and put a jb on them or crimp and enclose them. leave old cables in wall.
if one goes up and one goes down, get the sds out as its going to get messy!

Not an electrian, but I believe it really has to be a crimp as a JB is not maintainence free, as the floor could later be covered in a way to make it inaccessible. That said, there are now maintainence-free boxes on the market, like Wago.

Why would they want to visit the farms? Do you honestly think they would be shown anything but a sanitised version of the real production facility?
