…his work was part of the soundtrack of the best years of my life. Thanks for everything, David.

Love that Daft Punk track, possibly my favourite on Random Access Memories.

Decathlon are currency selling “wicking” Tee-shirts for £3.99. 100% synthetic, though.

Carrying water, what? As a once usefully fast club runner, I can’t believe the nonsense I’ve read here. Trendy joggers, that’s what you all are.

I’m running 1×10 XT with SS expander and XT 16t on my rigid 29er. The biggest plus for me is just how quiet the ride is. Love it!

This thread appeals to my intinctive Yorkshire money saving ways. I have grown wise to the old commercial trick of companies purchasing cheap materials in bulk, and then packaging them as bijou products to the hapless public. Well, I for one don’t swallow it, and buy online in bulk whenever I can. Tyre sealant prices are exorbitant and I feel we are being taken for a ride(!) here.

I bought one a couple of months ago for the full price – damn! Anyway, its a great tablet, faster than the crap Nexus 7 it replaced. Can’t speak for the camera as I haven’t used it, but battery life is about 6 hours.

I had a model of it as a child, might have been Airfix but can’t remember – awesome aeroplane.

Don’t worry, I’m sure the usual suspects will be along shortly to dump all over this thread in that holier than thou manner they manage to pull off whenever a thread pops up about cars or motorbikes!

Looks like usual sanctimonious contingent aren’t being drawn into this one. :-)

What’s happening here guys? This is STW FFS! Half of the replies to the OP’s post should have, at least, referred to lawbreaking, damage to the environment and the possibility of killing young children and/or kittens.

I’ve walked it a couple of times

I’ve run it quite a few times, and it’s a classic race on the Fell Runners Association (FRA) calendar, but I don’t think I’d want to to ride it. Having said that my technical skills are s**t!

@ weatheredwannabe – chapeau sir, that gave me genuine lol.

Absolutely agree, Woody, made me laugh too. I can’t believe that on a forum of, supposedly, free spirited MTBers we have such sanctimonious attitudes to just about every post.

Last GF had long hair and showered every day and totally f….. up the shower. I got rid of her – problem solved.

Err, actually she got rid of me!

I’ve run Norton since I bought my W7 Toshiba laptop a few years ago, and it takes absolutely ages to start up. My subscription runs out next month, so should I abandon it then, based on the above advice? I also run Malwarebytes and CCleaner, BTW.

Obviously demonising single mums is a good thing in ninfan world…christ some people have ugly viewpoints.

Didn’t you learn anything from the General Election? Your sort of hand wringing, bien pensant, liberal leftism isn’t exactly in tune with public opinion at the moment, thankfully.

You mean years of demonising teenage single mums, reducing benefits available to them, and stopping it from being a shortcut up the housing list is working?

    I agree, shocking, isn’t it?

Spot on, Ninfan, as ever. Funny how many of the underclass also manage to smoke dope and fags on their meagre state benefits. :-)

+1 Triple S. I went for gloss black. Easy to touch up the stone chips later on, without the problems of paint matching.

    I speed everywhere because:
    a) I can get away with it. b) modern cars can handle it. c) there is little to stop me from doing so……..

F.U you boring heath and safety toupee wearing old men.

Thank you, you’ve made my night. Welcome to Sanctimonious Track World. :-)

As a 10 year old, me and my schoolfriend met Jimmy Savile on the Leeds train. He gave us his autograph (long since lost) spelt with the $ sign for the S.

“Now then now then, hows about that there then, guys and gals”

Pain? My left knee at the moment. Can’t walk more than a few metres at a time, can’t ride and, having just built up a new road bike, feeling thoroughly depressed. Doctor talking about a knee replacement – I don’t even want to think about it!

On my commute it’s mostly urban roads with regularly spaced traffic islands/bollards, and have had drivers overtake me on the wrong side of the bollards as I trundle along at 30mph.

Labour have form in selecting leaders incapable of winning a General Election, and long may it continue :-)

The whys and wherefores of wheelie bins are irrelevant

I believe you are correct. The OP should take up the matter with the seller, not the Post Office.

Have a look at Sheldon. It isn’t just about the lube, it’s getting it into the contact surfaces of the chain itself.

A great result for an electorate who clearly didn’t want yet another Labour government bringing the country to its knees.

Forget the polls, are the bookies ever wrong on General Elections? Currently; Conservatives 1/5, Labour 7/2.
