I had Shimano Saints for while and actually developed quite bad knee pain, which I in correctly associated with running when it was actually the saints with the small platforms and flat body letting my feet point outwards like a duck, swapped to nukeproof horizon pedals and the pain went and the grip is better too!

I’d always look for a flat pedal with a slight concave going forward to aid with foot position.
