I’m surprised its taken this long but it was bound to happen. Instead you get a patronising oath and a cheap compass. As if teachers weren’t committed to doing the best they can for their pupils, ‘Labour’ think they need to swear an oath to do so. That – ‘Labour’s’ attitude – is the problem here. I can imagine many of their teacher supporters reading this proposal and thinking “WTF?!”.

But ‘Labour’ would have to be elected first and I don’t see that happening at the next election.
