Who saw the news about the scottish storm cleanup? Who saw the dinny bint left in the lurch without power or water and thought as I did “You were warned, you should’ve been prepared you dinny bint!”

No, about 10 years, and not as strong as the Burns’ Night Blow of 1991.

The issue is what else is discussed and implemented, against the wishes of the UK, by the ‘fast track’ group. This issue was bound to arise at some point, now that it has the people of the UK should be given the opportunity we have so long been denied to have our say as to whether or not we wish to remain in the EU>

This isn’t an Essex swingers party with sovereignty thrown into the ash tray, you either have the right to set your own tax and spending priorities or you don’t.

I haven’t bought a ST mag for about three years. Partly it was the layout and style of the mag, the gratuitious exposure of the naked flesh and egos of the ST staff, the increasingly small print, and that ST seemed to have lost the spark that made the early issues so different to the mainstream bike mags. Sadly ST seems to have gone after the MBR market, and in doing so it has left many of those who supported it alienated.

So what has Dave actually achieved? The rest of the EU have said “We’ll go our own way thanks, and stuff you and your british safeguards!” What will dave do? Nothing! He’ll continue to use the IMF as a back channel way of underwriting the euro with UK taxpayers money. Some eurosceptic!…

Once again we were treated to the BBC broken news. A slightly stronger than average scottish winter storm and it was the usual World Is Ending, cower under the stairs, look at me with my windblown hair reporting live how windy it was overload…

    Keep cutting that licence fee…

So please explain this to me. As the peak electricity deamnd is during the evening, when it is dark, how will solar PV help?

Does it stop at December the 21st 2012, the day we’re all DOOMED!?

But can you restore the far more detailed coverage that there used to be before the Beeb was dumbed yet further?

I used Hotmail for ten years. It was only in the last nine months that my account was hacked twice before the third and final time.

My Hotmail account was hijacked by a chinese spambot and was blocked. Despite me answering the questions on the reclaimation form, Hotmail wanted yet more information that I didn’t know the answer to (and who knows their MSN ID?)

The best thing you can do is to walk away from Hotmail, it’s as loose as a clown’s pocket. I’ve set up a free account with Yahoo (Rocketmail). Every now and the you are asked to enter a Capcha code before your email is sent, it can be a pain in the ar*e but at least it should (hopefully) foil those pesky spammers!

Some people understand, but many others don’t. The analogy I’d use is that of boiling the frog, if the heat is increased slightly over time the frog won’t realise that it is being cooked until it is too late. As I pointed out earlier, once YOUR data is in electronic form THEY could use it for whatever purpose they choose to.

Well I don’t have an allergy so the issue doesn’t arise. My issue is the confidentiality of MY data and MY RIGHT to ensure that it doesn’t get spread everywhere.

I pay in cash so that I don’t leave a slug trail of data.

I don’t really see the problem with the whole world knowing what kind of toilet paper I buy so none of this bothers me.

No doubt you’d have no problem with them knowing what sort of food you buy, or how much alcohol you buy either, it all seems so innocent, until the day that some obsessed self-righteous state decided that your lifestyle is ‘unhealthy’ and decides that you need to be ‘re-educated’…

If I felt the need to alert someone to an allergy I’d were a alergy alert bracelet.

Tesco only know what you buy if you CHOOSE to tell them by having a Clubcard, and no I don’t have any of those either. Remember that the uses that a database can be put to are only limited by the moral scruples (or lack of them) of the database administrator.

How ‘anonymous’ will it be? And once the principle is established which other companies or organisations will want to see it?

There was a young lady named Bright,
Who travelled much faster than light,
She set off one day, in a relative way,
And came back the previous night.

They have changed and no longer are on Orange, nor will I be when my credit is used, I’ll port my number to ASDA (uses Vodafone) and then hopefully have a network that actually works, despite my livinf in plain sight of a mobile mast! The T-Mobile network share helps, but it’s still a faff…
