The trouble is that we are constantly brainwashed by the advertising industry to equate what we own with who we are. Breaking that link is the first step to getting out of the mess we are making for oursleves.

Which enduro bike for £3.5k? My existing bike is two years old, extinct…

there may well be a capcity issue but when do we say “enough is enough!” and draw the line against an ever-increasing everything? Remember that wartime poster, “IS YOUR JOURNEY REALLY NECESSARY?”

Invite the Lawrence family and Diane Abbot as well…

In this age of electronic communication why not ‘predict and restrict’ by leaving things as they are, not bulding HS2, and allowing the market to decide who really needs to travel rather than doing their business online. It would be so much cheaper as well as stopping the midlands from becoming Londonised as the south has.

But I expect the prepack admin is just debt and unprofitable site dumping for a new owner. Whoever the new owner is, they are going to have a job getting Blacks/Millets back on their feet.

Clinton cards supposedly had a rough x**s, and how the hell is Superdrug still going?

Perhaps it’s the constant noise generated by the wind. In a past career I was stressed to the point of a breakdown by incessant piped music at my place of work.

Basded on the reporting I’ve heard. I don’t think that there is the slightest possibilty of a fair trial given the circumstances and the politcal head of steam to obbtain a result.

And don’t forget the cost of uniforms, often available from one supplier at a fixed price, stresses those families who are already hard-pressed

I think there were two miscarriges of justice, the first was the original botched investigation and the second is this retrial which would not have occured without the hectoring of the Lawrence family, who have become the sainted guardians of the legal system leading to the scrapping of double jepardy.

Were I on that jury I’d have voted not guilty.

On the point of uniform, I think it’s good at levelling the playing field when it comes to being singled out for being poor/different

As if the kids don’t know who has a poor family and who doesn’t?

I too wonder about the drive to enforce conformity using uniforms and workwear. Though I do draw the line at 3/4 length cargo pants, chav sportswear, leggings, and crocs/flip-flops.

Why do you want to put on weight?

Risk of contamination of the DNA evidence and the pre-prejudicng of the jury.

Will they appeal? They ought to given the flimsy prosecution evidence.

In the long term ash would be good for soil fertility but even a sprinkling of ash would cause the UK infrastructure to grind to a halt.

Houses covered in ash to collapsing point, good for the market.

Ash on the Diana memorial, why hasn’t it been cleaned?

Europe’s economy trashed, how would we notice the difference?

    What tyres for volcanic ash?

Well not quite. This time we have run out of family silver to sell off at knock-down prices…

Not so all good Mr W. Liverpool neeeded, and still needs jobs. Instead they got Heseltine and a garden festival…

I remember all this as a young man… I’m getting OLD!

Rather than letting Liverpool go the tories allowed the nation, apart from the south-east and the financial sector, to go into managed decline.

There, in print, is only a small and redacted part of the contempt that politicians of all parties hold for those who arn’t part of the political class. The records that are held for longer periods of time, (some files on WW2 are closed for a century) or those informal minutes and urecorded coversations would make explosive stories.

Has the advent of email or the FOI act changed anything? No! You can bet that the records that we eventually see, and what was actually recorded at the time, will be quite different.

Have you considered installing a soakaway? You can make one yourself by digging a pit and then filling it with large gravel.

    No. :-)

And more trail feedback. In those far off days if you wanted a softer ride you let some more air out of the front tyre, or bought a tyre with a greater air volume, or did both.

The were numerous stabbings and murders reported in the UK, as well as a fight in a midnight mass in S**th*mpt*n. The festive season is no different to any other time in broken britain.

Clarkson can and has made good motoring programmes in the past, and with a nation with a motoring culture such as India you’d think that not even he would be able to c*ck it up, but he and the rest of them have become stale. As long as you keep watching and paying for them to tw*t about, the BBC will keep churning out the drivel.

I was told many years ago wehen I had a similar problem just to drink water if possible, and to starve for 24 hours after you’d ‘run out’.

    Yes, it will end eventually…

Millets lost it’s way, neither basic outdoor gear or the more specialist end of the market. If you wanted a basic fleece top you can get better cheaper at ASDA so it’s no suprise they are now a zombie company.
