Who do you think prompted the ‘opposition’ to act both in Libya and Syria?

    War by other means…

Supposedly the current freeze is caused by the artic melt falling as increased snow over Siberia, drying out that air so that the cold, dry air can more easily become a typical, but more intense, european blocking high. That’s the summary I heard on R4’s Material World. Or it could be that the arctic melt is cooling the air above it and affecting the weather as the colder waters make their way south…

Had NATO not abused the UN resolution on Libya and used it as a carte blance for regime change there may have been a different outcome on the Syrian issue. As it is Syrians are paying the price for NATO’s aggrandisment.

If you want a cheap and tough watch get a Casio. I fail to understand watch snobbery, under the brand w@nking the time is still the same.

And no one stops to ask that if you can’t afford the mortage now, however it is sliced with shared equity, how are you going to afford it in the future?…

It was Chalky White of the Daily Mirror way back in the 70’s. Supposedly he was skulking in various seaside towns and if you spotted him you could win £5. Kids approaching strange men for money… it wouldn’t happen now…

We don’t learn from our mistakes, we just go on repeating them…

What can we do to try to jump-start a housing market that was bombed by the granting of mortages to people who should never have got mortages? Get the state to gaurantee loans to the sub-prime!

We know how this will end…

Why not have a vomit tank for people who have eaten too much junk food? It would save the taxpayer so much in long-term health care! Or why not have an individual ration each week of govt approved food and drink as we are all incapable of making the correct decision about what we consume into OUR bodies?

And on the subject of islanders and self-determination, let’s not forget those displaced inhabitants of Diego Garcia…

Using that argument you could justify a ‘health tax’ on mountain bikes and gear as people are bound to fall off and hurt themselves.

MAP is just another way of the judgemental ruling class saying that only the middle class and they can be trusted to drink, while the poor must be taxed into abstainance.

Perhaps what you don’t get is the idea of creating something for yourself rather than pay way over the odds for a manufactured item.

Back in the day, the mid-eighties, home made mudguards were the thing to have.

And it took about ten minutes to make. Some do, others scoff.

Now that would be fun to see, an official trying to forcibly remove an offending brand of non-sponsor trainers while Mrs Windsor was waiting to presnet a medal, or a gold medalist refusing to mount the podium unless they could wear their own trainers…

Without have seen such a saddle, could it be the rails moving creaking against the plastic or carbon shell? If you can find where the creak is, filling the gap with carbon paste may stop it.
