I’ve got a ratty old Tchibo fleece pullover that cost £3.99 back in 2005. It has done me well. Time to pull it out and live in it for the season.

It’s easier for Moribund to attack the unions than it is for him to attack the tories. That is a bitterly sad commentary both on him personally, and of the state of british politics in general.

Any brand or slogan where a ‘z’ repaces an ‘s’ or or a ‘k’ replaces a ‘c’. Or that uses textspeak; eg; Klaimz4U

The Aliens built it. If we dumb apes could only understand it then we’d be able to use it to generate limitless amounts of energy, and be able to travel through space and time…

Actually, Stonehenge in its present form is a victorian creation.

Yes there are plenty of things that I could post, but don’t. To name them would rather defeat the object of not publicising them.

Is the economy recovering? or is it just a minor blip before the eurozone problems and the effect of Syria on oil prices (high energy costs = economic stagnation at the best) return to bite us?

We do stand by when regimes murder their own people. Most recently in Egypt.

Politics is about choices, and what is at issue is Cameron’s rush to war. Had he waited a few days he would have had a better chance of winning the vote. Politics is also about judgement, and by rushing into the vote this quickly Cameron has demonstrated a lack of it, and that he is losing it.

Yes, there was much posturing and choreography involved, but DC’s judgement was off.

Well there’s a surprise! I went to bed expecting a rubber stamp vote, only to wake up and hear on the World Service that the mouse has roared. Will Cleggeron resign? No, but they ought to, given that they couldn’t win a vote on such a fundemental issue of that such as peace and war. I’m sure that despite the “I get it” speech that they’re planning some kind of workaround. We’ll probably be shown yet more convenient atrocities and will be implored to Think Of The Children. As for Miliband, he’ll get a short-term boost from his success but, true to form, he’ll fail to capitalise on it.

“So why is Cameron so determined to involve us in this war?”

Well, recently, when he’s woken up in the morning, his ‘glory’ isn’t what it used to be… it’s his age you understand; the changes that happen to all men of a certain age… in fact Sam Cam has been feeling quite let down and unsatisfied about it all. Making disabled people homeless no longer really does it for him now, he needs something more; so he’s developed a fetish about imposing himself on vulnerable people overseas now. Once he’d finished his opening speech he had to rush to the nearest loo; I bet he could barely contain that eruption of pleasure, a feeling he’s not had for many a year…

Yes, but it’s all just posturing and choreography, as is this so-called ‘debate’ today. Regardles of the outcvome of any vote, he UK has committed itself to hanging on to Obama’s shirt tails.

The ‘End Game’ that we’re not being told about is the re-ordering of the middle east along lines more acceptable to the west (think of the democracies of Bahrain an Saudi Arabia). Leading to the eventual attack on Iran…

So watching this happen, and knowing that at some point in the future they will be on the end of some missile diplomacy; how long will it be before both Iran and North Korea decide that if they don’t engage in premptive strikes against US regional assets to reduce their offensive potential? Because if they don’t it is certain to be used against them… Best do it now, while the US forces are stretched…

Allowing the british base in Cyprus to be used will make us complicit in crime, as well as leaving us open to revenge attacks on the UK mainland by sleeper agents.

But back to my original point: Where does Russia draw the line? And what do they have to do in order to be taken seriously?

I’ve suggested this on other related threads, but we really need to look at reducing the demand for travel, rather than trying to increase it.
