It’s the Y2014 bug innit? Or the wispy remains of comet Ison suddenly disobeying all the celsetial laws and dropping on London, or maybe it’s the rumblings of the El Heirero volcano, or Texas swine flu…

or was it a Waily Excess weathergeddon headline?

The £2 unlock code… Were you able to get that from the Tesco phone shop when you purchased the phone? Or did you have to faff through Tesco mobile?

Tesco have the noxious x**s noise wafting around. It’s tha aural equivalent of the smell of raw sewage leaking from a broken drain. I got what I needed and left as quickly as I could. I don’t know how much trade Tesco and their ilk lose as a result of pissing their customers off with the patronising noise, but it must add up to quite a sum.

Even if it did, there is also the qustion to be considered of how a dying regime would react. The chances are that they would decide to cause as much damage as possble to South Korea, Japan, and China. Even if the majority of those orders were ingnored, it would only take one loyalist to unleash hell upon the region.

    Interesting times indeed…

Not from the blurb, I don’t. I wondered that myself.

When I heard this morning than the Number Two of an unelected regime that was hell bent on making the lives of its subjects an utter misery had been executed, even I thought that was harsh treatment of Nick Clegg.

McHamish, I may name a minor character after you if that’s what you want BUT… given that this book may be just a bit controversial, you may not want to be associated with it in any way…

Drac: Isoflurane sounds interesting. How quicky would it take effect? And would it’s use be detectable by blood test?

MCTD; Al-Jazeera is a reasonable source of world news.

I’ve considered doing that; but as the novel has a grittiness of a possible near future about it I’d prefer to have something based on a real chemical.

I can understand Houns’ sentiments but not agree with them. Ignorance may well be bliss but do you really want to be unaware that you’re being led to a slaughterhouse until you see the entrance? Ignoring the news won’t make it stop; many people with poorer mental hygine habits than you will still be exposed to it, and the poisonous tabloids. A partial answer is to seek out alternative sources of information: At least you’ll still have a probably better informed view of what is going on.

You’re not the only one… News Briefing sounds more like a Radio Moscow for the coalition; they waste too much time on sound bites that add nothing to the story. And don’t get me started on the constant regurgitaton of the poisonous press… Farming Today is a middle-class Good Life whinge.

I’m forever hacked-off by the overuse of sound effects and backing music on trailers to the point where the message is lost in the aural clutter; and will someone please put You and Yours, as well as In Touch out of their misery? You can toss their corpses in the same skip as Ipm and the unfunny ‘comedies’.

They will go through the motions of saying how unacceptable it is, and emphasising that they have bo influence upon the process; but the award will be made, and of course they will grudginly aceept it. The public will be fooled again, and out of range of any recording equipment, the MPs will indulge in a quiet moment of smug self-congratulation and thankfulness that the Process has once again delivered.

Gopping. And any association with F1 is an instant turn-off. You can keep your special websites and BS marketing. Just stick to what you do well: Making good, tough and cheap watches without brand BS.

IIRC the Bersheninsky suspects that were first arrested were later found to be innocent.
