I remember when this was all fields.
I remember when Wagon Wheels were the size of saucers.
I remember when wives stayed at home to look after the children.
When there was something worth watching on TV.
When the oldies were new releases.
When the news was fact rather than opinion or celebrity dross.
    I remember… Now what was it I remember?…

I believe that mountain bikes should have rigid Reynolds steel tubed frames, Brooks sprung saddles, fifteen speed friction thumbshift gears, a screw on freewheel, and a loose ball BB with a grease port.

I wish it were still possible to buy one for £500.

There are two co-ops near me. There is only enough custom to justify one. The other of the stores is leased only to prevent Tesco from having it.

What is hacking me off about the news at the noment is the preoccupation with the Pistorious trial. TBH I couldn’t care less about it. I don’t know, and don’t want to know about it.

Listen to the STW doomster. Ebola is not a threat to us. A disease with such a high mortality rate will burn itself out because it will kill all its hosts before they can spread it further.

To put another point of view; I’m facebook firends with a cancer survivor. She posts a daily selfie as an affirmation that she’s beaten the C and lives another day.

You should go to Glorious Goodwood where stretch Hummer limos are considered to be classy…

But at least the hoi polloi are kept firmly in their place.

I’m sure that Cameron would love to be seen facing-down the EU and refusing to pay their fine, especially as he would claim that much of the pollution is of european origin; though no doubt Brussels will simply deduct the amount from the UK rebate.

The thought process is technology for its own sake. It’s as mal-moral as the internet fridge concept.

    ‘Fall’.

Heard here on a few occasions.

When corresponding with american friends I make a concious effort not to be influenced by their use of language or spelling, and to use the Queen’s english as much as possible. They appear to appreciate it as they regard us as “cute” and “quaint”.

Ask first if an ASDA sim will work in an Orange phone. Orange are renowned for being utter PITA in that department.

I’ve had a latex finger up my gary and a young attractive female doctor have her hands all other my nether regions… In neither case did I feel any erotic sensation. All ardour vanishes in a professional situation.

Many’s the time I’ve read his articles or seen his rugged looks riding a bike. No longer. May the singletrack where his soul has gone be smooth and flowing.

A link with our halcyon past has gone. We too are getting older.

If we are stupid enough to pick an economic fight with Russia, I hope they cut off the gas supply ASAP. It’s the only way of getting our expansionist EU leaders to wind their necks in.

Funding the BBC isn’t voluntary! Just try watching ‘only’ITv and see what happens. Firstly your brain will die and then you’ll summonsed.

Ah, the ‘unique way it is funded’; making you pay for that which you don’t want… If a supermarket tried that on they’d hemorrhage customers. The BBC needs to sort itself out and quickly. A progressive reduction in their licence income leading towards abolition of the entertainment poll tax is what the luvvies need to shock them nto action.

Aren’t those ugly, impractical pugs driven by obese chavettes to the local Lidl?
