Joe,my reading comprehension was poor re.your first post.Apologies if what i posted was annoying in any way.
As an aside i just replaced a sram NX rear mech with a SLX one for my son and it works fine with the GX shifter. The mech has been crap from day one and its a relief all round to have reliable shifting at last.

Hi Joe,bit weird the sram thumb push/push thing.I can do the same with shimano but i can drop two at a time if required (which is all the time) and also use index finger to drop gears without changing my grip.I’m sure your aware of this.
    Just saying.

I shoot or attempt to shoot everyone that lands here.Hate them with a vengeance and they deserve killing just for the horrible noise they make.Any cats that want to take a shortcut are shown the error of their ways by the resident Lurcher so i have a garden chock full of songbirds all able to rear their young with a bit of extra feeding from us.
Feeding a young family of Robins with live mealworms is a joy and something those black and white bastards will not spoil.

I used to enjoy removing them from my Fell terrier and throwing them on the fire.Treatments outlined above are superior obviously.

If you have an off-road motorcycle shop nearby go there and buy MX gloves, especially if there’s a sale on.A mate bought three pairs for £30 many years ago and is just now wearing through the last pair.

The carbon version of my ally Cube xc bike is 200gms heavier.Just wanted to point that out if you go the Cube route.

OP,I have the Lansky diamond sharpener set for sale.It is foolproof compared to stones although there is a small learning curve.Well used but the stones are perfectly flat and i have upgraded it so it works better than in stock form.Let me know if your interested.Ta.

Another vote for fabric here.A Radius currently in transit like Paul above as i left mine on the hardtail i just gave to my son.He rates it too.

Thre’s a creator on youtube called “Thunderfoot” whose channel i’ve subbed to.He debunks all this crap in an easy to understand way, which is just as well considering my limited intellect.
He has released a vid about CV19,worth a look.

Cheered up my morning the thought that “The monarchy may save lies”.Proves to me that being a royalist is like belonging to a cult or religion.

Watched a recording last night of the Bladerunner sequel and found it an indulgent, glacial borefest.
Can’t remember watching a decent film since The Departed.Yes,grumpy old t—.

No,not to me and never will be.I have a 29er xc bike that dependent upon tyre choice is suitable for any surface/distance.
Not a dig at Gravel bike owners JMO

Yeah,it appears to be 30mm axles only.Hopefully they will produce a 24mm version in due course although with proper maintenance i am happy with the service life of shimano BB’s.

If CC produced these for 24mm spindle i would be joining you in purchasing.Bit of a “stick in the mud” but i will not use anything but Shimano cranks.
Presumably,CC will manufacture Shimano specific in due course?

I wouldn’t entertain the idea of not using some sort of carbon paste if only to discourage the post from slipping. Why risk a problem down the line for a smear of lube?

The response amongst those who chose to contribute to the faceache post was very much in favor of the status quo.

His followers will believe that this is just an attempt to silence him and to stop the flow of “real” information.Somewhere on the net you will find a post by one of these “cultists” that the whole thing has been planned by Clinton and financed by Soros and is just another example of right leaning “news” being expunged from the interwebs.

Recovering from hernia surgery sept ’18 i spent a lot of time on american forums and followed links to some extraordinary ****.Mixing politics with religion and being conspiratorial leads these morons to believe any crap and pass it on as gospel.

Some sealants don’t react well with CO2 so that may have exacerbated the initial problem.Put tubes in or fix it yourself, its really not that difficult.Good luck.

My wife had used a Karrimor SF35 on many long distance walks and it has been fine.No molle or navy seal wannabe crap, just an excellent, hardwearing bag.Two large side pockets, two hidden behind those and a large lid pocket.Done a few Three Peaks,West highland way,Great Glen,Walk across wales, many others and still in great shape.Bought it at a sale price on Ray Mears website some years ago,its substantially more expensive now, sadly.

I was thinking of buying one some time ago when the wife saw me browsing with intent on the web and remarked that she couldn’t understand my interest as “there was nothing wrong with the size of my cock!”.Relieved,I bought a cheaper, more reliable vehicle.

As you said, using a hex key you wont be anywhere near the recommended torque.Use a long bar and give it some welly after you slacken off the pre-load thingy.
I recently stuck a raceface crank on my hardtail.I pinched it up with an allen then went for a spin around the block to check all was ok.When i used a long torque wrench to finish the job i was suprised how far the bolt kept tightening,so much in fact a stopped and borrowed my brothers as i thought my rarely used on was knackered.
Hope it turns out ok after lashing out Hope crank money.

Fellas, whats the concensus about re-using quick links after splitting chains for a wax bath? My recently fitted Shimano 12s link was mega tight and i’m a bit concerned about re-using it and it loosening up.Replacements are around a tenner, not a huge amount but i’ve just abused the plastic buying XT transmission.

Perhaps they will move in with his real father(James Hewitt) mentioned above. He must be getting on a bit now and if he needs help they could apply for “Carers allowance” which may help them live in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

A mate uses spray on cleaners and his hope bits are starting to go a bit wonky(They are a few years old and he does ride and subsequently wash his bikes a lot.) I only use car shampoo and hot water. My orange bling seems as shiny and lustrous as when new and it makes me feel a bit smug.

Exact circumstances with an XT rear some months ago.Bled and lubed to no affect but the brake worked so kept using it.A few weeks later i noticed some fluid at the rear of the m/cylinder so did what you’re contemplating.

Thresher, before you lash out on more brakes have a look on the Pinkbike buy and sell page.Look on the brake sub section and you should find a little service kit that makes it easy to service four piston calipers. It has a brake block with a removable part that uncovers one piston at a time for easy cleaning and lubing.Additionally, the kit contains a spray bottle of alcohol for cleaning and an applicator for putting a thin bead of silicon lube around the piston outer diameter.
Makes what was a real chore using a tiny G clamp a much happier experience.I bought the kit after experiencing the exact same symptoms as yours with a brand new set of hopes.

England will win have no worries. Then another victory over SA and its all theirs. Not easy to type as a welshman.Realistically,England are the only northern hemisphere team that had a chance of going all the way.
    Good luck England fans.

There’s a Dub BB and the tool to suit on Pinkbike.I think the seller is willing to sell them separately.

It will be interesting to see what you think of the front tyre.My experience is that they are magic for trail centre man made stuff, but bloody awful in mud regardless of tyre pressure.
    Congrats on a lovely bike.

Philjunior,if people want to teach their offspring religion they can take them to their favourite church or mosque. The state shouldn’t be used to pay people to tell lies to children.
