And I met Martin Lamkin and Malcolm Rathmell at the Church Tavern sections at Pontsticill sometime in the late seventies.Amazing to meet your heroes as a child.

On the MTBR forum there is an over 50’s thread where this sort of thing is covered in some detail.
    Wishing you well.

    @ thisisnotaspoon.
Lighten up man, nobody was proselytising, there were no extremists just a thread about not eating meat.A funny moment from a comedy show came to mind so I posted for a bit of fun.
Are some of you looking to be offended?

I had 11 speed NX and replaced the cassette with a 46t Sunrace without problems.Sold it later to a friend running a 11 speed SLX mech and it also worked well for him.

Wow Cougar,it was just a light hearted comment,I haven’t expressed an opinion either way.As it happens over the last few years I’ve drastically cut my meat consumption for the very reasons expressed within this thread.I seem unable or unwilling to go all the way.
The ROYLE FAMILY was great you miserable git.

£8 a mole!Bloody ell Welshfarmer,I would do them for nothing if a lived closer.Used to keep the local golf course numbers down in return for allowing me to run my Lurchers over over the course. In the evenings or at night obvs.

jree,I have two bird cycles here,an original Zero hardtail from 2015 and an Aeris 145 and the finish on both is excellent. The Zero has been thrown down some rocky banks and has survived in remarkably good shape. The rider less so.

What was the question again OP?

Yep,never understood the reasoning on fitting really heavy tyres on bikes. It ruins the dynamism and in my experience doesn’t help with grip.A 2.8 on the rear of an e-bike for climbing sounds good but having to spin heavy wheels and tyres especially on energy sapping terrain sounds like torture.

Bowl of all-bran every morning, let it soak a little to lose its barbed wire like consistency then add a little honey so that it tastes of something.

Shame you left it so long Chris. You could use some old feeler gauges with stud or bearing lock to take out the play.Use one top and bottom of the bearing to make sure its centralised. Please remove seal of new bearing and pack with grease before using, this will extend service life.

Buy a secondhand 29er XC bike and fit a rigid fork?
    Just a thought.

Rasberries,Blueberries, proper greek yoghurt and honey to sweeten slightly. If mega ride stir in some Alpen also.
Fresh Rasberries are silly money at the mo’ so I just put some frozen ones in a bowl to defrost beforehand.

I’ll have to get some more for my cranks, the clear stuff is looking crap.Scrounged just enough to do the fork.Cheers.

As Cheesybeanz said earlier, regardless of the quality remove the seals when new and fill with grease, spin the inner race and fill again.During a lifetime on dirt-bikes it was the only way to attain any longevity, particularly during long, wet, welsh winters.
Bearings almost always only come with enough low grade lubricant to stop them corroding before sale.

I use Time as they have loads of float and side to side movement also.I hurt my right ankle many years ago and clips made it feel like something was being pulled out of alignment. With a bit of fiddling with the cleats the feeling went away and no probs now for a good few years. An added bonus is that they seem to require no maintenance.

Stu,as a former dirt-biker I would like to congratulate you on your achievements, well done sir.
Desperately trying to remember when USD forks appeared on off-road bikes as your riding gear screams 70’s but i think conventional forks were phased out mid-eighties to ninety’s.
Just trying to date your medal success.

Loving the sunday lunch pic Richard, best view of the day.You know those round metal trays that are used sometimes to carry a few pints?Well,it looks as though the lunch was served in one of those, something i would deffo approve of.

branes,a 26″ or even a 24″ will fit around a 29er rim.I use a 24 because it fits inside the tiny saddle bad i use, small enough to use with a dropper.

The last survey i saw regarding American christians estimated that around 40% of them believed in the Noahs ark thing and if it wasn’t for those damned Turks they could prove it.
When one considers the above it’s not hard to understand the cult like following he enjoys by the credulous and gullible among the population.

I don’t take much notice of celebrity lifestyles but the last “thing” i saw of LH was a picture he posted of him and some friends about to fly off somewhere in his own or a chartered jet.Sort of my black life matters more than yours type of thing.
As he is now considered a paragon of virtue because he wins races driving one of only two cars that can win,I’ll leave it there.

Sell the hardtail and put the money towards a set of the lightest, fastest rolling wheels and tyres you can afford.Fit the wheels with discs and cassette then use the appropriate wheels for terrain/conditions.
If your bike has light wheels at present and you have no intention of riding rough trails with a heavier set then my opinion is shite and should be disregarded.

That frame architecture is identical to my Cube reaction SL,even the cable routing is the same.Wonder if Cube make frames for Radon?
Hope it gives you what your looking for.

I’ve used a curve and a straighter line and i can’t feel any difference. The cable routing is the only gripe i have with the bike, unnecessary bends and the mech exit too low on the seatstay create friction and spoil the shifting IMO.The next time i replace the shifter cable i’m going to run it along the chainstay.

PTFE fixed mine permanently.Like you i assumed it must be the 8mil inner nut but both were tight.Odd that the pedal body appears to be held on by the outer nut?
