How many new bikes is that since you laughed at my suggestion that the previous one wouldn’t last five minutes?

Witnessing the behaviour of some entitled ****ts who ride there, this comes as no suprise.

It can take an age but is curable if you have the patience.
Just sit in the car with the dog whilst its stationary. Do this every day for a week or two until he visibly relaxes. Then, short drive around the block, returning home before he gets stressed. After a week or two of this then drive two blocks all the time returning home long before the dribbles start. He must be broken of the association with the car and sickness.
I had to go through this and it’s a nightmare but after a few weeks or five I was able to drive my pup to a local wood where he ran so much he slept on the way back and wasn’t bothered by the moving car.

Check your air filter,if you have a really low intake like I had on a Clio many years ago it can fill the filter housing up and small amounts of water can splash over the top of the filter into the intake.Sounds unlikely,I was suprised when lifting the lid of the housing up to find it threequarters full.

Great article Dieter, when you mentioned cassettes I shuddered about the degreasing so was glad to read about your little helpers.

Have you considered the woodland that rings Steetly quarry?
It’s very quiet this time of year and there’s some lovely spots with loads of dead-standing if that’s your thing.

    Longer,lower,slacker……still expensive.That should cover it.

The trails are not difficult to find as the entrances are clearly defined its just trying to link them in the most efficient manner to get the most out of your day.

Mt son owns a 145 with the 160 link and it climbs fine,I’m very happy with it.

Glyndwrs Way is a more remote route than OD.The northern half will require wildcamping so more weight. We have the maps etc if you decide to go that way.

Muck boots.I know you didn’t mention footwear but they are waterproof and very warm.Other parents sloshing about in soaked trainers may give you odd looks but frankly f–k em.

Llantrisant to anywhere in Cardiff is an easy ride so there’s one silver lining,(Presuming you can fit your bike in that Behemoth).I hope they find the problem for you.

Rads don’t have to be on,the shoes are “comfortable” to use afterwards.I forgot that newspapers are dying out for most folk.

Just wingnut talking points tj,all he ever posts.
Users break the T&C’s and they get banned.Just happens to be wingnuts on the right more often because the vast majority are morons or are pushing the boundaries and it catches up with them.

Sadly, there’s many legal hurdles or steps before the verminous get sees the inside of a jail cell.

pobaker,I was told yesterday that the Asda garage at J32 had fuel and minimal queues.
I have no idea if they sell snorkels and flippers there but it would be prudent to purchase them if they do.

I’m caring for a 27yr old severely autistic son, your troubles seem a mere bagatelle in comparison.
Until Tinnitus came calling I used to ride off-road m/cycles on the weekend as a coping mechanism, hours out the garage of an evening fiddling with the things listening to Radcliffe and Maloney whilst supping a few also helped.
So,I would recommend some quality time out the mancave or failing that, learn to be satisfied with a certain level of dissatisfaction.

I thought the Whyte was sold because it ate shocks or something. Sorry if I miss-read that.

Just googled false widow (shudder) and realise there are a couple living up the top garage amongst some old timber I keep just in case it’s needed. They will have to go,better ask the missus.

Hi molgrips,I’m sure I’ve read that you reside in Cardiff so just wanted to let you know that there is a Mercedes specialist in Pontypridd who has a good rep.I know you have an appointment with one but just wanted to inform you in case you wanted a second opinion or ultimately need proper repairs down the line.
    Good luck with it.

Hi twrch,if you take a look on the Bird facebook page you will find loads of great bikes second-hand.My son has the 145 with the 160 link and I’m really enjoying it,so much so its putting me off riding my own FS.

Been there twice in the last couple of weeks and the drivers were excellent. No queuing and that’s with restricted seating. It was mid-week so perhaps weekend uplifts are worse.

Glad you managed to clear all the jumps on GBU bar the one.I think you were lucky though as Bird bikes can make one a bit “Crashy” according to one of the members here.
By the way,38 is no age at all,I arrived back from BPW a few hours ago (no queues for uplifts) and my neck feels as if its been injected by a rogue dentist.Just turned sixty.

The garden is going to be grand once you’ve finished, lovely spot.
