I made one, piece of cake. "Borrowed" a big glass syringe from work which had a fitting on the end normally designed shockingly enough for a needle, i then found some clear plastic tubing the correct diameter to go over the stans valve (core removed of course) and heated it up/semi melted it onto the syringe at t'other end.

Works great! No leaks and cost me all of 50p to do.

Hmm decisions decisions. They are the cheapest option for me so far by a long shot.

    So the excess is £250….

Say i go third part fire + theft, i hit someone – do they pay out for the other persons car and thats it or do i have to pay the excess etc ?

Im tempted to just go TP F+T if the level of cover doesn't matter…

no not really but the difference between fully comp and third party is only £60…. This is my first car, first insurance etc and i believe the sooner i get fully comp the better for future quotes etc ?

Well the car is worth about £200…

So if the windscrean breaks i could care less.
Im a mechanic so i will hang me head in shame if it breaks down + can fix it myself so courtesy car not needed…
Never carry anything in it of value (aside from myself)

    Hmmm.

Using Rocket Ron front Furious Fred rear myself, bit sliddy on the back if it's really wet but makes for a lively ride, takes a bit of skill keeping it upright though.

New shock not a problem, it needs to be a 190x50mm size. Fox RP23 or RS Monarch 4.2 works great.

Must be a personal thing, when we get a car in at the garage no matter it be a ned tastic Nova or whatever it gets looked after, at the end of the day it's a customer and if your damage it you loose them and anyone they could potentially speak too.

Same happened to me a few years back, bike went in for a quicky service came out with more damage to it than i've managed in years of riding the thing. Was not a happy bunny. Some mechanics are good and i do appreciate they are pressed for time etc but a lot are just clueless unskilled monkeys who couldn't give a hoot.

I could do with this too… Off to Germany Sunday night for two weeks bit of a last minute thing but taking the bike with me.

Is the Go Travel insurance up to a certain amount ? Bike is into the thousands.

I believe Njee has the same scales as me – the Alpine Digital ones… Mine are accurate to within 10 grams which i have confirmed.

Id put good money on it that Njee's are just as accurate.

Doesn't the DT limited thingy use 28mm stancions though and the Magura has no lockout damper = bouncy ride ? Fox, well it's a Fox so lets not even bother with that.

Sid XX – 32mm stancions, lockout and under 1.4kg gets my vote. But not at UK prices though i'll stick with buying from the US me thinks.

£950!? Is that the UK RRP on the XX Sid ? **** me – im picking mine up for substanially less.

I'll have a SID Team for sale fairly soon. 2009 spec version.

You can get it tuned so that it is near as can be to locked out. Had this done to my RS Monarch 4.2 which has a similar setup.

The majority of Endura kit is made in China, the custom Team stuff is made in house up at the Scottish HQ along with a very small amount of other stuff which is sown there. Nearly everything comes out a box from the factory in China.

Had a near similar issue with my supersht BB – it wouldn't thread into the frame at all which i knew was fine etc. Resorted to using a wire pick to remove the red locktight stuff on the BB threads – went in fine after that.

Regardless of were the fork is sourced you have a contract with the supplier in that the goods they supply are covered by a 1 year warranty minimum. So if they break Merlin should fix them by whatever means – weather that be getting Sram to fix them or doing it themselves they still have to honor the warranty.

Serial number filled off though ? You sure…. Last 5 Rockshox forks ive had the serial number was a sticker…

Hmm similar here. I've used one for a week and the click screen was a bit annoying but i put that down to needing to get used to it.

Iphone isn't an option, too expensive. Other than that it's a sumsung S7350 which looks good.

Blackbox has low and high speed compression circuits, motion control only has low i think.

But i like it much better on my WC's than the motion control.

Yeah had that in the past!

Looking at either the LG GT500 or Samsung S7350. Samsung that i've got has been solid never had an issue with it but the LG looks nice!

Reckon i might go onto a combi 25 contract and give current phone to family member or something.

Yeah true. But i'd like to change something now.

I might actually upgrade my contract to a higher level – would that allow a new phone ?

Fingers crossed then, guess i'll known within two weeks.

FYI it's a Ford Fiesta, 54 Reg so hope the speedo is a bit out.

I here speedo's are set a bit fast so hopefully 55 indicated will be a bit slower etc.

    It's the speed limit + 3mpg + 10% isn't or something which would make it 58mph.

Yeah that’s my concern, got a night in Edinburgh arranged and for me easiest way is parking the car there and then go pick it up the next day but im not sure if leaving over night is fully ok, can’t find any info on tinternet!

I went to France three weeks back, bought my Euros at 1.14 and sold them back at Thomas Cook at 1.21 so can’t complain. Most places are just taking the mick with the return rates etc.

Shame nationwide dropped the free overseas withdrawel service, its the only reason i had an account with them. I think there still fairly cheap though.
