I’ve  got some lovely silver bar ends from the 90’s on my hybrid. They’re brilliant and great for when attacking the hills of Dartmoor!

Regarding Burrator, took the family up for a day out a few weeks back and somehow i had packed the bike….spent the whole day just sessioning a couple of flowy single tracks with lots of techy rocks sections:-) was great fun. To be fair i could have played around in the car park all day there was so much to play on. def will head back to check out some of the other areas. must be loads of techy rocky stuff there.

I’m not quite sure about where the fences are your referring to but wouldn’t it be nice if the NT said, ‘you bikers have been riding here for years, there’s 3 paths, stick to them, don’t build any more and we will let you be”. Wishful thinking??? The woods are more than big enough, half is conifer so that will be clear felled, there’s lots of rhododendron taking over and some woodland management will be required to improve biodiversity/ habitat of other areas etc. The MTB tracks that are there will really have v little impact on the overall habitat that the nt will be trying to conserve. I think it’s more that they just don’t like bikes.

I’ve got a 2019 torque. Use it for all kinds of riding over Dartmoor. Yes it’s heavy but it can ride up anything and it tends to be only the really steep stuff that I now tend to push up. Downhills, techy tight steep stuff, rock gardens, drops, jumps it’s brilliant. It’s very playful. If it wasn’t so heavy it would be the perfect bike.

The production privee shan does look seriously nice but bit too much£££. If I were to have one bike…

do like the look of ragleys esp the blue pig but mmmbop is probably the sensible option….

anyone got any views on the ribble  ht725? Know nought about it.

Thanks for all the replies. Some goods suggestions.  Was only looking at the switchback yesterday. Maybe a dumb question but why do rate it so highly?

In the old days pace was always a dream bike.

completely agree with ChesterCP but won’t be going so far as a jump bike. It will be a do everything bike when not using the FS and would rather have fun, responsive, poppy over all out high speed ground hugging plough.

Anyone got any views on ragleys?

Still got a p7 from 95. Love it
