This always happens to me when I change iPhones, it just will not connect to any wifi. As has been said above, the thing that fixes it for me is:

Do a network settings reset and then a hard restart by holding the home button and power button until the apple logo appears

I seem to suffer from the opposite effect, agents/head hunters contacting me for roles that are legions above my abilities and experience. My linkedin profile is upbeat but honest.

Exactly the same here. “I have a role that I think you’ll be interested in. It’s Chief Global Security Officer for a Global Telecommunications Company based in New York” (or similar). Yah…. I *think* I’m a couple of decades off that level yet Mr Recruitment Agent.

Hmm, weeds and moss in the gravel, and a few too many leaves on the grass for my liking. C- must try harder.

On the plus side, I do quite like the design of the site..

Tighten up the security aspects, and I personally think it has potential.

    January 1st – 13st 6lbs
    January 9th – 13st 1lb

Purely down to monitoring what I eat, riding to work (its only 6 miles each way, but every little helps) – and sweating my ass off in the gym at least every other day.

Will be honest and say I’m actually really enjoying it :-)

Cheers for all the replies :-)

Personally I’d be searching your house for your original charger & battery… it’s got to be some-where & this is definitely the cheapest option

I lost it moving house, and have searched absolutely everywhere sadly, so god knows where it went.

The customer service I had when buying the light was second to none, and he does have ridiculously good recommendations from everyone I seem to speak to (as do his products).

Is it the dual XML Luminator?

Yep, its the dual one – so it’s a great unit, and love the beam spread.

I think just judging by the few replies above, the better option is to get the battery replacement from Smudge..

Yep, and he’s the one that’s quoted me the replacement battery cost – which I’m happy to pay if I can justify it. I’m just trying to establish whether the Lumenator is worth the extra ££ over something like the C & B Seen type thing.

Use Topcashback before purchasing bike stuff, wiggle, crc, and evans all give cashback.

I’m up to £100 earned now, just for buying things I would normally have bought anyway. It’s a complete no-brainer.

No doubt this goes against all other advice, however I try and squirt my chain and cassette with GT85 after wet rides, displaces all the water meaning it shouldnt show any rust marks.

FWIW, I’ve also just fitted a new Shimano HG50 (I think) 9 speed cassette, and its fine :-)

I went with a light grey suit, white shirt and a navy blue tie.

Great choice. Glad you avoided that potentially nasty navy blue suit situation that some of the STW ‘stylists’ were pointing you towards..

I did it last year on my own, right to the Spanish border and back. Wasn’t too bad, had to take my seat belt off, and kind of sit on the handbrake (ooo errr). Did crunch my alloy though trying to get a bit to close to one!

My main advice though is to pay by card rather than trying to faff with cash! :-)

    Mine is tonight.

I always end up rubbing my bosses (a Director) head. “It feels like a fluffy tennis ball!” (is my apparent excuse at the time).

Reading some of the above, I suddenly feel much better.

We get a full-attendance bonus of £250 just before Xmas (which I’ll be getting this year *inserts halo smiley*). Plus the company pays for all food/drinks at the Xmas party. Cue lots of amazing inappropriateness

Purely based on the fact that this page has reached its fourth page means we have some way to go until this ‘coming out’ malarky won’t be necessary anymore, and that it is still treated as quite big ‘news’.

Just drop the whole “he was lying bit” it doesn’t matter, OK? we’ve all done it, lied to ourselves and others about being gay, it’s hard to come out, and when you’re straight, it’s sort of hard to understand why it would be, but sometimes it’s harder than it should be (even to people who you know love you to bits)

    +10000
I ‘lied’ for years (including to myself and the girls I was seeing) about still being straight, right up until I was 18 and finally the penny dropped when I met a guy that I really liked. It confused the living **** out of me initially, and isn’t as easy as it may seem to the outside world looking in.

EDIT: PS, congrats to qwj72 – finally met someone even more cynical then me ;-)

Am I the only one that is starting to find these threads and topics mildly concerning? Having English family and being born in Wales, I don’t consider myself Welsh or English, but British. And I’m proud to be British, and sharing cultures with those from the rest of Britain (including Scotland).

Whilst I appreciate that England & Wales are unlikely to ever become independent from eachother, I’m beginning to feel that the ‘British’ identity is disappearing, and I’ll have to choose between calling myself English or Welsh.

However, all being well, Scotland will vote No next year, it’ll all be forgotten about in a couple of years, and we can continue as one big happy family :-)

officialtob, nothing personal, but if I ever meet you, I’ll have to either kill you, or ask you a series of cunningly designed yet ever so slightly ambiguous multiple choice questions.

Haha, I think I know which option I’d choose there..

Yes, that’s right, a cup of coffee is an example of an appropriate gift for a business contact

The UK Bribery Act states that gifts should be ‘proportionate’, so if they have just bought a tropical island from you then a weekend away *may* be proportionate. Similarly if they have bought a £250 piece of software, then the coffee would be proportionate.

UK companies are required to have certain ‘Anti-Bribery’ measures in place, so unfortunately some of those measures include this mandatory training. Heck, I can’t stand the training and I’m the one delivering it!

You won’t get very far in Africa / ME if you’re not prepared to grease the wheels of commerce, esp if you’re white – you often have to pay just to get through customs as ‘your paperwork appears not to be in order’ so either pay $200 or we’ll hold you at gun point until you do.

Also, I’m fairly certain that there’s an exception in the UK Bribery Act for things like that, however that’s where by knowledge runs a bit dry…

Well, these sort of threads definitely bring out the green eyed monster in some folk.

I think it’s the blatant willy-waving that gets dragged out the closet more..

Let’s face it, discussing salaries is and has always been slightly taboo. Personally, I’m not bothered who knows what I earn though.

Threads like this make me realise I sadly live in a completely different world to a lot of people on here.

My aim in life as far as ££ goes is to always earn my age in 000’s. Think thats a good balance between being realistic and ambitious. I’m currently £500 off this, so doing ok so far!

No we monitor everything, from AD logins to file and database touches, continuously across the enterprise. The aim is to capture the Who, What, How, When, Where and Workstation of everything. You end up with some BIG data.

Some of our unix and web stuff does screen capture and replay. Frightening.
Same. Plus every keystroke is logged…

I can’t see where anyone has been nasty or spiteful to the victim. And this is what the case is about, THE VICTIM.

Are the parents not also victims to some extent?
