Since posting this I have looked at the price and now I am considering something cheaper. Can you still get something like the old donkey kong games that just play one game and take AA batteries?

I want something to entertain him in the car and on planes. He has a bike and rides a lot (I just had to replace worn out tyres!)

I hate the things on principal, but he is so spoilt by the parents in law that I am struggling to think of something else to get him.

Any other suggestions greatfully received. 💡

Agree about south bank, the acquarium is ACE and greenwich is also good if you are interested in boats. Can you still go on the war ship, I can’t even remember the name of it but I thought that was fantastic when I was about your kids age.

I got my frame from bikecomponents.de which was no problem. I ordered a Salsa LaCruse cross frame from them in XL as well but eventually cancelled the order after waiting 6 months for it to arrive and got a road rat. In hindsight that was a mistake.

and it’s shit when you get to go on it 🙁

I had an XL in mind as well as a change from my Mamasite, but the new FS 29er they have on their site looks rather nice too.

I like it as does my DH. Its a fundemental part of almost any relationship. If you have a healthy attitude towards it there is nothing to hide and therefore nothing to be embarrassed about.
We like to put a DVD on fast forward it, stop it at a random place and act out the scene that is on.

Imagine my surprise when I ended up in a gangbang with 4 rather well endowed coloured chaps.

Can’t stop sniggering at this and now I have to lie to my workmates about what I am reading…

They show this on TV in Denmark at the moment. Quality entertainment for about 10 minutes then you realise it’s not really that interesting or in any way, erm, how do you put it? Perve worthy 😳

Has anyone on here tried the Orlistat (Alli) diet pills?

I’d be intrigued to know if they work. They seem quite expensive, but if thay actually work, I would have expected to hear much more about them.

It’s all terrible life sucking sh1t that sucks the life out of anyone who watches it. I find it difficult to put into words how much I hate this sort of thing.

    ARGHHH

Now I need to sit in a quiet place and recover from just thinking about it.

Lots of good clothing and any old CX ir MTB in my experience. The clothes will make more difference than the bike.

    Both wheels are 24″ 🙂
My garden is big enough for some jumps but given that the house is on the market, i doubt that it would add too much the the value…

At this time of year it is a full time job clearing up leaves. That is my basement door and there are lots of trees around. The wall is rather grotty though.

We just got a tempur matress and love it. I was worried about it being hot, but we were flogged a TemraKon down mattress topper which stops you getting hot (google it). My mum also has one without the temprakon thing and they do find it a bit hot

We got it after I had a slipped disc in the summer and I find it really comfortable

So now all that remains to persuade Mrs Oddjob that it is a reasonable and rational investment to get one 😈

Sounds very rational and cold hearted, but if that’s what you want then you decide.

I tried to do the moving on without the dumping first at some point and I think that was a bad decision so in many ways you have done the decent thing. The only caveat is that you have to be certain that it is what you want.

Watch Mark Kermode’s review, I think he sums it up well.

Somehow the plot got lost in too much story or something. I hadn’t read the book and found it rather too long and hard work to follow which is a shame because I thik an intelligent superhero film would be great.

“so young man, how did you get into BMX racing?”

“well my dad was looking for an excuse to buy another bike and the rest is history…”

I’m 6’3″ as well, hence the interest in the 24″ BMX. I like the look of that DMR a lot, but my wife will leave me and take the kids with her if I do anything extravagant at the moment, hence the interest in the (used) BMX…

Being really honest, I race on the road and XC, I am about as far as you can get from a BMX rider although it is where it all started and I did race BMX many many many years ago.

Not ridden since June due to slipped disc. Planning a first ride this weekend, but it will be frustrating given that I was flying in June and racing pretty well.

Such is life, I am thinking about next year really and working my way slowly back to it.

If you are refering to a handkerchief, then yes I do use one, but not whilst riding.

I don’t want to post it here, but there is a picture of one of my kids in a pair of pink tights on my blog that gets about 50 hits per day presumably from catholoc priests who are searching the net for some single handed entertainment.

I can’t decide whether I should remove it or not…

Part of the problem is that what SAP does is rather dull. I can’t imagine that many people who use SAP on a day to day basis really love what they are doing with their time whether is it ordering goods, paying invoices or managing their payroll. However, given what it is capable of doing (ie running global companies from one end to the other) it is pretty amazing and there isn’t much that can touch it really (Oracle being the only real competitor).

It can be badly set up, badly used and badly managed, but what it is able to do is incredible it just isn’t all that much fun for mose of the users if the truth be told.

Depends on the weather this weekend. As soon as the roads have been salted, my summer bike is left on the trainer until there are some leaves appearing on the trees again in the Spring.

    SAP is ace.

Unfortunately a lot of companies refuse to believe that it is ace and want to change stuff that they think should be “how we’ve always done it here” and then it becomes significantly less ace.

As the above stated, it’s like taking and XTR group set and deciding you can improve it by changing little bits here and there.

    Gues what? you can’t.

    Surely that is a joke…
