as a former swimmer, it is rather irritating when people don’t keep out of the way of important athletes who are busy training

she’s generally pretty cool, but I can tell that the bear thing is going to be an issue so I think it’s best to avoid it.

I’ve been to castle rock a few times, I am quite surprised that there are bears there!
I am not so scared of the bears because the rules are pretty clear about what you should do to avoid having to deal with them. However, there are no guidelines about dealing with hysterical women who are convinced that their children will be carried off into the night by teams of bears who eat small boys for dinner.

I got a knobble one at the weekend for about £10 in Netto. So far I prefer the smooth one that I used before at Crossfit.

Apparently the issue is that there is not enough acid in your stomach to activate the closing mechanism at the opening. I have heard that you should take some sort of hydrogen peroxide supplement with your food.

    Try googling it

Just be a little bit serious. I started buzzing my hair off a few months ago. There wasn’t really much reaction from colleagues or family (wife didn’t like it at first, but does now)
I had a job interview a couple of weeks ago and was unsure if I’d give the right first impression but apparently I did as I am starting on 1st August. It’s a relatively senior, customer facing position so I am now convinced that the buzz can be business like enough and I can stop worrying about it 🙂

We tried the ventilation option and it wasn’t enough so now we have a dehumidifier running down there that kicks in when humidity hits 60% and just circulates the air otherwise. It needs emptying about once a week in the summer and daily in the winter when we dry the washing down there.

I don’t think it’s much more expensive to run than a fridge.

I don’t care what you eat, I care what I eat and what we feed our family.

The paleo idea has helped me with lots of things related to diet and health. If you are healthy, fit and happy then carry on with what you are doing.

I’ve just stopped eating processed foods and feel better for it – you can eat frozen pizza and microwave horse lasagne if it makes you happy 🙂

Been paleo for 2 years or so after about a year of the slow carb diet.

For me it’s perfect. we ditched processed food and cook danmed near everything from scratch.

It is more of a lifestyle though as you need to commit to cooking more and then its’ hard not to get drawn into the rest of the it like making sure you sleep enough and get enough sun for vitamin D etc etc

Makes me happy and the family feel much better on it. (another +ve is that my hayfever has gone)

Caernarfon castle was a favourite of ours when we were kids. There are loads of beautiful places around there. Bedgelert (?) and as said the coast is also very nice.

    Buying a new audi?

Doesn’t add up to me, but what do I know?

Presumably it will be repossessed at some point.

Change to a paleo diet. After 35 years of summer misery, mine has been declining for the last couple of years and O have none at all this year.

Oslo is dull – go up ont eh opera house roof and take a walk around.
Haven’t been to Bergen, but there must be some nice hiking and sight seeing to be had without spending too much!

Be very thankful that it’s the summer 8)

Agree with the point that plenty of good quality sleep, eating well and not drinking heavily all play their part in maintaining a good mental state for me. Also getting outside in the daytime to get some sunshine and vitamin D also helps a lot.

    Good luck

weren’t mirrors designed specifically to be car top-able? Maybe car tops have changed a lot over the years and our was always on a trailer.

Must agree that a mirror is a great idea with loads of options. We had one as kids – sailing near home all year round and then taken on holiday for general getting around/use as a trailer/ messing about stuff on the south coast of Cornwall.

Don’t splash out on the Merkur Future, just get one of the non adjustable ones that cost about £25. I had a Future as a gift and sold it on ebay after having it replaced on warranty. The adjusting thing isn’t very good and is completely pointless IMO.
Merkur 34C is my weapon of choice these days and I also have a travel version that is excellent

Another Finn sailor here and crossfit a couple of times a week. Home time is spent looking after kids, housework and tv I’m afraid. Not much free time to be honest.

I wish I still had a good head of hair (well at least full head of hair) but I don’t and I can live with that.

In reality nobody really cares except those who are losing or have lost the hair.

As a relative newbie in the having no hair world.

Any recommendations for sunblock to use on thinning hair. It’s clipped pretty short #2 maybe, but there is still a fair amount of hair and it makes a right bloomin’ mess with sun cream.

I bought myself a Speedmaster Pro some years ago after fantasising about it for years.

I like the watch a lot, but it turns out that an expensive watch just doesn’t make your life better. Somehow it ended up being a let down. I only wear it occasionally these days and I guess I’ll pass it on to my son one day.

I get more pleasure from the second hand Oris TT1 that I bought for a good price and is less easily damaged.

Be careful what you are doing with yoga and pilates if you don’t know what you are doing. I turned back ache into a slipped disc with Pilates by using the stupid cycling mantra that if it hurts it must be good.

Turns out that with back achem if it hurts STOP!

    amen to that brother!

My mental health is much better, my physical health is better and I am generally a happier person.

Now if you can figure out how to get grains out of your kids diet, i’d love to hear. Our youngest has had part of his large intestine removed because of a genetic problem. He does OK, but I think he’d be better off without the grains. unfortunately it’s simply too difficult to control what he eats, even with my wife on board with the idea, the daycare and grand parents are more or less unable to comprehend life without bread.

big difference is that there are no beans or lentils in paleo and some people have high fat dairy (me for one!)
