    apparently the nhs put together a "handbook" of dielect for "foreign" doctors working in strong dielect areas of the uk so they had a fighting chance of making a diagnosis.

    e.g. "tha wee bairns bin fair greetin al nict!"

    meaning; "my small child has been crying all night".

    middle of the range bikes that are worth buying.
    in my eyes youve got your £80-100 cheap taiwanese junk/everyday bikes, £150-300 gets you the same that looks better but is still pants and then you enter the market for something actually ridable for a beginner at £700-£800.Theres no middle of the road stuff..there used to be all differnet levels and all different build specs.

    is ti worth getting in lots of miles on smoother easier going trails and paths to build confidence and bike posture etc by becoming more relaxed and "forgetting" about position and just enjoying the ride, hence relaxing more??

    its fine .if you had left it for a year with no top on then i would be concerned.
    in all the years ive had cars i have reguarly changed all brake fliud in the lines and done the same on customers and ive never seen an improvement or poor performance due to fluid being "old"
    i think you really have to be a donut and let it get expeosed to huge amounts of airborne moisture to have a problem.
    if it was my car with my family in id be more concerened than on a bike.

    having said that its dead cheap

    lots of web pages and some ebay ads say all gt's are 31.6. ive fitted a post into it that was 27. something and it was very close,possibly correct but it could have been on the thin side…

    "Am I just too distrusting of thieving scum? Wouldn't be leaving some of them in the middle of Leeds all day."

    NO!
    belive a lot of these poster's just dont seem to get it!
    round my way anyof those would be diassembled in no time.
    you need;
    no brand names.desticker it (even if its crap)
    no names on components.paint over or scratch off (snobbery wont do you any good when your walking home)
    puncture proof tyres.
    no quick releases.change them for bolt in.(inc the seat)
    matt black aerosol can do wonders when applied in abundance.
    huge lock or …two huge locks.
    lock it somewhere very public and lit at night.

    if all else fails fit drop bars..then no one will want it 😆

    btw when i worked in a garage we used to seriously cane people finatially for this.we would change anything and everthing that we could claim had been in contact with the wrong fuel,filter, fuel lines, tank of juice,disposal of old "bad mix fuel" stripping out this and that.
    actually usaully took no time at all and involved a quick drain and filter change, new full brimming tank of fuel and a warp speed road test of around 45 mins on local motorway to "clear her through" 😉
    ring round for quotes!!

    as to draining yourself.its not hard.the anti syphon stuff is only for opertuinst thieves.if you are at home with tools just remove the filler neck (the long tube to the filler cap) and go in there, or remove the seat or floor panel and find the tank sender unit.it will screw in with a very large round nut (6 inces etc) unscrew that and your straight in to the stinky stuff!(fuel that is)

    Surf mat. Wrong. Diesel in petrol=catastrophic.

    Petrol in diesel = up to 1/3 tank can be petrol if it's an older gen engine. An 05 might be okay

    im inclined to agree.apparently older 60 and 70's lorries would have reguarly had some petrol added to the diesel to thin it in winter and help with starting.two things tho;
    1)old 60 and 70 lorries would run on pretty much anything inc chip shop oil etc
    2)this could be a complete urban myth as i wasnt born till th late 70's.

    was it £147.00 for all three frames or was that just one of them?
    either way it sounds like youve been stung!
    what you need is a helpful mate in the states.send them to him, then he repacks them, probably more compactly and sends them in someway as to you not paying so much import tax etc…
