they close at 5pm.the regular hire bikes are kona hardtails with dart forks but if you look closely they are specced down ie alivio grouset etc.there ok but only just.you can pay more for a premium bike which i belive means full sus but also means they have rarely been used and not used by familys out for a cruise etc so are a bit more mint.

i think its cos pubs are open later.used to be that be 11.00 all stag do's and bunches of hen parties etc were safetly "contained" in a night club till 2, when they came out ratted,looking for a taxi. now they patrol around town till late in fancy dress sticking out like a sore thumb.

i put nothing on after washing (the bike!) but i am quite keen on washing the bike and it gets done after each use.perhaps the pads are staying damp? the rotors are not correded as is no other parts of the bike.

well what im really getting at is, as some have mentioned,to go out socially or for fun and not be knackered.to be able to get the max out of a day out etc.

i can beat that, went in to test couple of months back and cycling gear was on offer, there was one lowly computer left on the wrong shelf and no price to be seen, but most stuff was half price.took it to the till thinking what would i want to pay, £5?£7 perhaps?

ok, i think im being coseted a bit so there for arnt seeing the problems id encounter on a ht. im prob just blasting through/over it…

only thing i find is the suspetion give in certain situations.if im aproaching a pothole say, i would normally just hoik on the bar and lift over but if the fork are compressed at that moment you can get less rapid rising of the front end as you begin by pulling the forks up, then the front end etc etc.(did that make sence)
not that im not riding it or enjoying it…

yep it hink its poss me trying to keep up with a quick bunch than me and im getting really tensed up in the neck.my position is quite up right compared to full on xc riders so dont think its that.i think im pulling on the bars a lot to get the power down and thus having my shoulders constantly tense…. i think….

well my stem is only a fraction lower that the top setting it came on so its not "slammed" the the headset and i have swooped bars rather than flat.i commute each day on my hybrid and that prob has lower bars that my full sus.i presumed cos of larger bars on the full sus and legs that arnt super strong yet im pulling on the bars a lot to aid pushing down on the pedals perhaps??
could it be my neck muscles are just getting worked a lot and have yet to build up to the conditions?

we have a “family” car but i rarely drive it as wife claims it all the time.when shes out and i have kids i bus into town with them if its cold or put them in a trailer and tow them, or go shopping etc.amazing what you can get in a kiddy tralier if you have no choice..complete second bike, glass fish tank, car tyres etc etc.
of coarse when i take car out missus stays at home with kids and doesnt go out cos its,rainy,cold,tired,to far,etc etc etc….

wellies or bootss of some description.if there is any rain,there will be mud, 80,000 pairs of feet do a lot of destruction to the grass!its mainly the campsite thats the prob.how bad is it likely to be…its carnage!in a good way! imaging a cross between a night club and ww1 frontline! dont take anything you wouldnt happily leave behind in a bin,camping stuff included!its not a fashion show and if your clothes arnt quite “showy” enough theres usually plenty of mental stuff on sale cheap by oxfam (wedding dresses were popular when i went-with guys and girls.also army flight suits/overalls)
take a beenie hat as it keeps the rain/beer off your head but you can still hear the music.hoods get in the way.
ps.oh and golden rule-take ear plugs for sleeping in,and poss one of those eye mask things no matter how hardcore you think you are your neighbours are always more so!

go easy with vit c and iron.take the exact dose only.to much iron and you wont poo for days-not good and too much vit c and your pee will turn flourecent yellow and youll be going every 10 mins, trust me ,ive been there!
