having had both my motorbikes nicked at the same time via the follow you home trick, i was gutted and lost out as both were not insured at that time.since then ive looked at the whole aspect from a different angle. once bitten twice shy and all that.people talk about inconvenience but ensentially a bank vault will only have one "key" your shed/ garage can be like fort knox and its only the key holder that can get in.

problem comes when you loose the key… 😆

why do people spend so much on chris king h/s? shurly they cant be that much better? i have never had a poor ride on abike except one that has an ancient sh@gged o/e no name h/s that i had tried to breath some life back into and it was notchy.that was down to me tho being skint and not replacing it. i have an fsa pig on it now.it was about18 quid off ebay and it rocks.why pay 5 times more?

ref lots bridge, i once stopped at a weird shop in the absolute middle of nowhere.i think it was beside a railway crossing perhaps?? sells antiques/ junk/ brick a brac. i asked for direstions and all the woman really wanted to know was why i was going there? felt inclined to say look love ,im asking the questions, but could get a word in! anyone know it? that may well have been lots bridge..?

oh and do you know who got me into having it done?? i went for an eye test at my local (privately owned) optician.got talking about it and what they thought, bearing in mind there livelleyhood is selling specs.the owner said "well i cant lie, im just wearing reading glasses, as ive already had it done myself!"

    odannyboy
    Free Member

I had it done.£3000 privately 2 years ago and worth every penny.dont skimp where eyes are concerned.divide the cost between the next 20-30 years of your life and how much decent specs/contacts etc cost for that time.not much in it.

its not painfull,(cheaper options are tho) but i found it really bizzare, like being in a sci fi movie, all these sounds and blurry things happening in your field of vision.
my eyesight is now better than 20/20.there is virtually no measurable perscription.

cant recommend it enough.do your research, pay good money and enjoy.
ps it doesnt stop you developing the need for reading glasses as you get older tho, if that happens to you.
