I think its good shes on tv.my kids are so laid back about it.they talk about it like i would talk about someone not wearing a hat.its just another everyday observation to them.they dont find it odd at all. sad how we are born so open minded and then get "polluted" with other peoples negativity…

my shimano are takin some getting used too.i think when the cleats wear a little it gets easier, but that could be me getting more experienced.it is taking me suprisingly longer to master than i thought.luckily my falls have been ofroad and (mainly) on to soft stuff.

getting my raleigh burner aged six or seven was pretty awesome.doing an endo on it for the first time on the cold christmas day was good too, till i over cooked it and landed on the headset before hitting the pavement.oww!

ok all i can say is be careful.i hurt my knee arseing about on a bmx, whilst pissed, over ten years ago.i had no idea id damadged it as i was a tenager and when your a teenager you indestructable..right? any how it is now only just right ten years later.i ignored the problems for years but i basically damaged or tore the cartilage early on.i ignore it and bits broke off and then jambed into other bits and did more damage over the years.i eventually had a keyhole op, which i really had to fight for.they removed four pices of cartiage, each the size of half a pea.might not sound that big but the thing is cartilage doesnt really regenerate.ever.
i was so much better after wards but it has played up since and i nearly ended up having the op again, but the specialish did loads of x rays and said it wouldnt help.this was the point where i suggested that i wanted to go from commuting 4 miles a day to getting into mountain biking, all be it slowly and steadily.both the specialist and my gp said they did not recommend it as it would put strain on my knee and make matters worse.I went against there judgement, bought a full sus bike and started riding increasingly long distances.8miles, 10,12 16,20,22. then i joinded my local club and each week i go out for a 25-35 mile night ride, sometimes twice in a week. and the thing is the exercise has transformed my knee.the muscle defeniton etc is so much better it support the joint and i hardly ever get grief from it.but i built it all up slowly.
in anut shell, fight for the best treatment you can get and never presume your ok.once serious damage is done its very hard to recover.

"My missus use to turn into a nympho when she was pregnant
    she simply couldn't get enough"

cobblers this is blatantly a myth started by a broody woman somewhere. funnilly when ever you read a pregnancy book or go to a pregnancy class its the first thing they bring up-get the men interested and then move on to the gory details, so they pay attention.

    its a load of tosh-honest.

my wife becomes trully evil when pregnant.i know it is not the most comfortable time, and she can have her "moments" when not preggers but the hormone changes trully make her evil. dont think she said or did one nice thing to me throughout both pregnencys.
minute baby is born, all back to normal and nice to me again.

Look dont have a go but i just dont get this.i understand that stars are so far away that what we see is actually no longer there.i get that. so are you all saying that this rossette nebula thingy is just up there and you can look at it with a pretty decent telescope BUT it is actually a stupidly, ridiculous, long physical distance away(or was cos its gone now) and so that how we see it.the light from it is still coming to us, so we can see it.so effectivly the image of it has travelled to us(is that right?)

+1 for warm shoes and gloves.if get my hands cold opening the garage to get my bike they never see able to warm up again.
cover your head under the helmet i say is most important.also against what is said about i will quite often get sweaty at my core while my hand/feet can be numb.this is something im working on at the mo.i never wear a lot under my jacket.often just a base layer but this hasnt been in minus temps so will se whats ness.

initially i was dissapointed.they were not very warm on my commute to work but then i take it easy so as not to get all sweaty. on my club rides they are fine tho.higher haert rate etc means they are warm.
but… because there knitted they snag easily on prickly stuff, they are quite think fingered ( so am i) but if you have sausage fingers you may struggle.also they say they are waterproof and thay are but the water does get in to the top layer so it then cools your fingers, whilst your fingers arent actually wet.odd really.also they are made flat and not culred to a riders hand shape which would be better.
strikes me they would make a good all round glove for boating and outdoor jobs but there not perfect for cycling.they work, but i got mine in the sale so im happy.i wouldnt pay full price for them..

not a christmas do but on a average midweek works bowling night we were given two drinks tokens each, a meal and free bowling.alright so far.but 50% of people drove and so had soft drinks(not covered by vouchers)vouchers then went to the drinkers-que revelry! one particualy gobby guy at work got suprise, suprise, incredibly gobby when drunk and as he see's himself as a "mans, man" wouldnt turn down a dare.next up there food being thrown, insults being thrown, dares to him to down pints (where he always wins as we, couldnt be bothered to try) people were sat at the dinner table smoking joints etc.it was bedlam!all the sober people were soon gone and it just got worse.ended up with gobby bloke falling down stairs and cutting his head.his collegues sober wife turns up to take them home and is not impressed, he has to go in the boot of there small 4×4 where he honks up repeatedly.is then dropped of at home and apparently was found by his wife asleep in the front garden.
strangly he wasnt at work the next day.
god i laughed so much that night (and also honked as well )
