just if you’re interested OP, it’s Scafell pike, and it’s actually pronounced Scorefell, not scarfell.

only thing I didn’t like was the music, was a bit common if you get me. I find edits do a lot better with less common tunes, something a bit less ‘blary’ if you understand.

usually they come with a CD/dvd with a ‘nas finder’ to locate the IP that has been dished out to it (unless it has a default one set, there are a couple of hundred to choose from) – other than that, no, I’d say it’d come preinstalled with software, unless you went REALLY cheap.

what I don’t quite understand is why I would pay £thousands to employ a recruitment company when I can stick an ad in the local paper and recieve 50 applications in a week. Takes an hour to sort the idiots from the potentials, and then a few minutes to arrange an interview.

How are recruitment companies surviving when there are apparently so few jobs?

@Clink, what frame is that, actually? Does look nice. Is that a direct mount front mech though? or a dodgy repair job :P

I saw this frame on Pinkbike, looks quite nice but 600EUR for it! wow, would rather a soul.

On one are working on something which i’m sure will be a fair bit cheaper.

    Uhh yeah… the summer season? It’s £150.

what a great bump! love this thread!

where do you get the meals from?

    BTW I spotted the other day (and bought – yet to try) some Heinz meals, pasta in a pepperoni and tomato sauce, just pour into pan and leave to bubble (imagine this could be heated in the bag as well, as nothing to be undercooked), were about £1.50;

*if this doesn’t work, just spread them apart and don’t use the back brake until you can get them properly sorted

I just build up an alu f120 build, with pro2/flows, and it’s bang on 24lbs, so with a slightly heavier frame, shorter forks, unless you scrimp on decent wheels, I’d say maybe 24lbs is reasonable to expect.

^and they look like f100’s to me.

Sorry but what is the difference between the superstar 10mm ‘bolt through’ and a 9mm QR skewer. If you have dropouts, surely they work exactly the same, only the 10mm is 1mm stiffer…

I’ve the 314 and it feels a lot lighter when riding it. Pro-pedal that rp2 and it climbs as quick and as easy as my 24lbs hardtail. Then unleash the 140mm for the descents and it brings a smile to your face.

One thing to remember with the lefty is that there is no QR (unless they’ve radically changed it) – meaning longer to get it in and out of the boot.

Even cooler would be coloured brake fluid.

But I can’t see why this wouldn’t/couldn’t work. Braided hose is just normal hose with a metal braiding around it to reinforce it, right? So why not make the normal hosing see through, then although you would have a diamond pattern to it, you would see through it.

scott? good quality? Sorry to say this but from the inside view and looking at the cost prices of scott items, I can assure you they are far from decent quality.

Take them back to Evans and get a refund.

I’m not sure because I just bought two new evo wheels, and theres no way the 20mm adapter will fit in the hole. I use the 15, which works fine, but the 20 seems a few MM too big.

In a day of daylight? Seeing as I can see it out my window, the SDW is not exposed to daylight for 24 hours.

your better off with a full face, there not compulsary, yet, but your head and face will be safer with 1 on your bonce

And your neck? More likely to incur damage to the neck when wearing a full face rather than an open lid. You need a neck brace as well in order to see the full protection.

just get the wit to dial 101 and report a crime, then call yourself and say the damage has actually occurred. The other driver will get a court summoning and if found guilty will be charged with leaving the scene of an accident (6 points default!)

they just recently changed it from price being done on weight to price by size… so I would say it’d definitely be a parcel jobbie. #

thanks a lot for the advice, I’ll ask him how confident he feels, but given that it’s a drive over, It’ll be a whole day activity so best to start on the blue and then the red if possible anyway. Will look on the map for that riverside ride, sounds ideal. I rarely get to go up there so will appreciate any riding I can do!

thanks for the GPX links, will have a look through!

And will now go look for borrowdale bash, ta.

No, haven’t heard that one. If there are any GPX’s floating about that’d be great as I have memory map standing by with all lakes maps ready to go! Got to have a few backup routes for, as you say, when the weather is bad (note not IF)!

    Skiddaw does indeed look nice.

Praying that this easter is like last easter (very hot and very sunny), but probably won’t be!

Cool, thanks for the info re: whinlatter, think that’s what we’ll be doing then!

Not sure about Scafell, got half way up there once and had to turn back as it turned into a lightning storm. I’ve heard it’s not that great anyway, lots of scree and not much of a view. Worth a look though.

The paint ‘inside’ the crack (which is convieniently symmetrical) is whiter than outside the crack. It’s a a non-stickered area I think.

Look at the furthest left the crack goes, second picture. The two textures either side are totally different; one matte, one shiny, one white, one off-white…

Don’t even need short bolts if you get a decent aftermarket ring. My renthal takes the full length ones happily.

Looks good, but all of that could have been ridden on a 140mm trail bike, then you could have cycled back to the top?

Yeah the custom ones, I daren’t imagine how many emails he gets from people asking for custom graphics, how can the poor guy be expected to whip up designs for everyone overnight? Off the shelf ones are excellent and come extremely quickly!

And when I emailed to ask for the 10% discount voucher as I missed the code, he replied within the hour, and refunded me the difference.

Good for some, terrible for others. I’d shop again, personally.

Slikgraphics, unlike above, ordered some ones off their site about a month ago, they arrived 2 days after ordering and are absolutely perfect, would have paid twice as much for official Fox ones.
