Bike parking in view, ideally with customer settable combination locks
    Communal pump
    Communal tools
    Drinking water tap
Supplies like bananas or bars to takeaway

And the usual stuff to eat and drink.

My garage is on a separate armoured from the main board, I’m using TPlink mains extenders and it works fine.

I recently took my Whyte Glencoe off road for the first time, loved it.

Wish it had more clearance on the seat stays as it does clog there.

You don’t need to be able to backflip on a trampoline to flip a bike.

I’ve done it in foam pits at Radical bikes and Adrenaline alley as well as to both the resi ramps at adrenaline alley.

I recommend its only done on a single speed as you are highly likely to damage the mech if you flip to foam.

Shin pads are a very good idea as you tend to shin yourself a bit.

So much fun though! I wanna go flip again now!

Here I am at the age of 38 flipping the resi at AA.

it depends on what your partner and child need.

I have ridden about 8 times since my son was born 19 months ago.

But I have also taken up RC as a hobby so I guess I could have ridden a lot more, I take him with me when I am crawling in the woods and that and he loves the run around with no danger.

If your Mrs has has a C-section or traumatic birth I would count out any rides until she is mobile again.

I do commute on a bike daily so may be that covers the cravings.

In the hierarchy of safety PPE is the last measure.

I wear black or dark clothes as that’s what I like.

I don’t ride in positions that leave me vulnerable.

I would rather be alive than “right”.

The motto of assuming everyone is an idiot and going to pull out on you makes life easier.

I calculate risk constantly, I will ride in the middle of the lane through road works or past a bit of crap road that I know is coming up.

I ride in Essex on rural and city streets as well as in London through some very busy locations.

Hi-vis won’t make a blind bit of difference if you snake down the inside of a driver following sat nav.

Tony’s is annoying, when I eat chocolate I want Geometric based pieces not a mess that that thing makes.

Toblerone’s are the business, Airport badboys are always on lock

if its wear its already dead, if its a knock then it may not be detrimental.

If I bought it and it had wear I would back it and get all of the money back, shows lack of care and it will require significant repairs.

I’ve got a ceiling one in my kitchen, the ceiling is about 6-8inches lower above the island to house the extractor, works effectively, no grease on the ceiling to note.

    Distraction techniques:

Put her off dress up like superman
Put the lights down low with candles on
Invite her to help with cooking or something
go for a walk with her

I love the fabric bottle and locating lug combo as it leaves the bike looking clean when i’m not using it.

Rubbish over jumps and drops, at the local I tend to dump it near the top and have a sip when i’m lining up for another run.

I have setup 3 of my bikes in the rough footprint of one.

One mounted vertical, the MTB as it has the widest bars

One mounted horizontally on the wall using a pedal bracket, the wife’s hybrid so light enough to put up and down.

One, gravel bike, leaning on the wall under the horizontal one and tucked down the inside of the vertical MTB.

if you then add another vertical and one more freestanding, possibly with a metal tyre grabber bracket on the wall that will be your smallest foot print and still remain useable.

Roughly a bike and a half wide from the wall.

I have the TRP Hy/RYD and they are great.

They are on my Whyte Glencoe and stop me no worries.

Not adjusted any aspect of them in 2.5 years.

They might not like which ever bottle you buy so don’t go balls deep on buying them in.
Blackout blinds, like proper proper blacked out. I bought black out material and cut it to the size of the window, stuck it on with velcro with a little overlap, ideally a channel fed blackout roller so no light gets in, then I have a set of blinds and black out curtains.
About month 8-9 concede to contacting a baby sleep expert and pony up the £2-300 for some tips which will get your sanity back.

Contact your partner at least once a day when you are out, support is a constant need for a mother who has had no sleep and the monotony of having a newborn.

Batch cook and freeze everything, get a spare freezer
Don’t buy a sterilizing machine, get a decent size bucket and some tablets, 10mins and you are done.
Once they come off the breast or split up feeding get a perfect prep machine and make up the days portions religiously.

    Preparation not panic.

Don’t challenge the school let them do their job.

Discipline may have been issued due to a culmination of a number of eye rolling incidents or something else that is wearing on someone that has to put up with 30 kids being dicks all day.

If she is beyond inconsolable or she is put in a terms worth of detention then have a chat but don’t seek to challenge, seek to understand and to support the schools actions.

My detentions were an invaluable resource for me, they taught me so much about how not to get caught and how to be mindful of what I did and when.

A kid who has someone to fight their battles for them will learn nothing.

    Show them the photos.

If they persist, contact building control and pursue it.

The bike looks decent enough, new brakes as you say and it will be good as gold, remember to buy 5year old sized levers as he may struggle with adult ones.

He is likely to grow out of it quickly so be ready with a new bike for then and plaster it all over FB or any other social media they may pay attention to.

    hope your boy enjoys it.

I use a 3000 with a snake and it is brilliant.

I would recommend buying lots of cut off wheels as I have a tendency to break them while not in use.

I also picked up a smaller chuck as the stock one didn’t go small enough for my 0.8mm drill bits.
