    Where do you live?

I have my forks and shocks serviced by Pedalworx in essex near lakeside.

    Excellent service and rates.

Don’t do mail order as far as I know but worth and ask.

Speak to Nick, tell him Andy sent you

If you have paid a lot for a nice paint job I would send it off to invisiframe prior to being built to have the frame and forks covered.
they hold the file used to create the kit and that way you can get replacements when they look tired.

I get that on my road bike, I change grip for a bit.

I expect its related to poor position on the bike.

Have you had a bikefit ?

It’s a normal charge for an upadopted highway, be thankful they didn’t just sign it over to the residents to deal with as they please.

There is structure in place, if the OP want’s further detail he’s gonna need to query this with the person billing him.

The charge is relative to the location, the frequency and their management fee.

Unless you have significant support you’ll be paying it.

    That’s a normal charge.

A place local to me has a system where you put some money or a card over the bar then crack on via an ipad and the taps on the table.

It’s always lots of fun, you can order shots, wine, spirits to the table as well as request songs on the jukebox while pouring your own pints. nice big tables that accommodate 10

    Martin,

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

I have always had great experiences with the uplift at BPW.

I accept that I won’t get ten runs in as it is quite a long descent especially when running with a large group of mates (10 of us last time).

The drivers are friendly and conscientious, they ensure the bikes are secure and are paying attention in the van, they told off a young lad for sticking his head out the window which given how much the van bounces about is sound advice.

The Cafe isn’t great food but its acceptable, it would be good if there was more than one pay point for those not wanting to faff about ordering hot food.

The toilets/showers could do with being open later especially in the summer.

Overall I like the place and have always found it a pleasure to visit.

    I have also been to:

Triscombe – landrover and a trailer with wheel holes cut in it!

FOD – great service, bit steep for parking on top of the uplift.

Cwm Carn – quick enough given the distance they have to travel.

UKBikepark – shut down now, lot more waiting and you got battered by the uplift.

BMCC – Good uplift, non existent services.

Swinley – terrible cafe, average facilities.

I think BMCC is a great venue for jumps and progression.

Bike park wales is quite a harsh day out in comparison as it’s so rocky and the runs are so much longer.

I felt a lot less tired after a day out at BMCC that my most recent trip to BPW.

As said above there are zero facilities at BMCC so go prepared.

BMCC is gonna be harder work than BPW in the wet but I don’t see that as a bad thing as they are so different.

I’ve got some PP Cr35’s which are comfortable for the most part but a bit harsh for big up lift days

I have recently removed the Sensus Disadaboss they were comfy but a little thin overall

I think the Deathgrips look like a good middle ground.

I’d be happy with some gold blend in a polystyrene cup for £1.50 tbh
That way I can have a coffee and get on with the rest of the ride without waiting for some coffee making show banging and clattering about .

The coffee shop business was a bit weak.

There is no damage to the fence tbh.

The lower sill is dented, the 3/4 has a hole in it and 2 x 3mm deep gouges, the door is dented too.

This seems quite a lot of work.

    Will get some quotes in.

Its a 64 plate Audi A3, its on a 4 year payment plan with balloon payment arrangement, i’m not sure they’d be keen on a bodged up repair, plus i’d quite like the car to be mint again.

£1000 over 5 years sounds better than £1500 now.

This may be a bit drastic and un-workable depending on the type of cars you work on (too many lows) but why not dig the whole floor down and then have a ramp into it so you could use the lift in a normal way?

I had an 8860 chassis I sold it for £85 it was from 1985!

    Loved playing with Lego Technic.

I’m glad i’ve got rid of all of mine as it will give me plausible reasons to buy new stuff with Largejnr comes along.

Got to have a porsche 911 set.

I have life cover deferred for 2 months for non-death.
    This significantly lowered the costs.

I also have £10 totally sports insurance for specific injuries, mostly dislocations and fractures which covers a suitable amount to cover me up to the 2 month period.

Most fractures are repaired inside of 2 months so I feel I am sufficiently covered.

    Shop about.

Boot dryer from Clas Ohlsen, has a timer so I can leave it on in the shed.

    PErfect every time.

If only I had a timer to turn it on in the morning I could have warm shoes too…
